description
The Skyline R32. Touted by most as the car that almost single handedly invented the touring car craze in the early nineties. The Nissan Skyline R32 is a formidable Japanese sports car that was and remains popular with speed nuts and car tuners worldwide. In the right hands, the real car can be tuned to deliver crazy horsepower and even crazier speeds. Tamiya made many many racing bodysets based on the R32 lexan body, the Zexel Skyline GT-R Gr.A, Taisan Skyline GT-R Gr.A, Castrol RB Skyline GT-R Gr.N and Unisia Jeccs Skyline GT-R Gr.A. There are also three other kits that use this same Lexan body (58120 Axia Skyline, 58135 Calsonic Skyline GT-R and 58140, and the very rare HKS Skyline on a Limited Edition TA02 chassis). The TA01 chassis was a reliable, well mannered and virtually indestructible chassis that made a great parking lot basher. Even in their rally guises they never really had the clearance or the suspension to handle anything too rough. You really had to spend a fair amount of cash to make these competitive, but if you did, you had a very fast and reliable car. (Description by AJ)
