  1. Yep proper full bearings. How good a mesh should there be? I'm just comparing to a Rusther and a Firestorm, which seems tighter.
  2. I used a new 19T steel pinion (http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?product_id=36704) when I started using a 9.0T brushless motor in my Baja King. Last week the spur gear was stripped after only a couple of packs. So just got a new spur gear and installed it. On closer inspection I can see that there is a bigger gap than what I would expect between the gears. So now I am wondering if the 0.6 Mod pinion is the correct pitch.
  3. Are these dogbones / swing shafts going to cope with 9.0T brushless motor better than stock? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380450845758?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  4. Do you haver a link, as cant seem to find online?
  5. Is this the rear shock tower.....http://www.elitemodelsonline.co.uk/Products/RC-Cars/Car-Spares/HBX-/HBX-Spares/8834-/REAR-SHOCK-TOWER-ALUMINIUM
  6. Interested to know what parts you used to raise the rear shock.
  7. The original dog bones (plastic ball end) are wearing down and the diff cup joint is also badly worn. The diff cups have been reversed so worn both sides. The wheel axles seem pretty good. Is it better to get the hardened diff cup joint over the standard? Are there any better dog bones or alternatives to stock? I've seem universal or swing shafts for the TL01B quoted as hard steel, maybe they would be better.
  8. Never been charged when buying from Hong Kong and posted to UK for such small even amounts, most recent was £42 via ebay, and even larger amounts when using Hobbyking. And delivery came be as quick as 7 days but usually 14 days.
  9. Just looked at the Seben truggy shell, which I prefer. Would that fit the TL01B chassis with mounts from a Wild Dagger? But would it not work with buggy sized wheels.
  10. Cam across this thread which suggested it may work......http://radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=130493&page=16 Hey LordThrush, Sorry for the super late reply.. Yea you can use the adjustable clodbuster motor mounts that they sell at TTR or you can go to RC4WD.COM and get their version of the Clod Adjustable Motor Mounts.. I am using them to make my TL01 use a 16T pinion. That is the lowest I have been able to go. That and don't run any tires with a profile larger then a Pro-Line Dirt Hawg and its fine!
  11. How did you fix the damper problem? I see that you raised the rear shock mount. I'm using mini CVAs with springs from the original dampers, as they are stiffer springs. OK on smooth, short grass ground. using a 9.0T brushless motor with 19T steel pinion gear. Fast enough for my bashing and 100 times better than brushed 21T motor previously used.
  12. Let me know what you think of it and how it fits, especially how robust the wing is. Certainly seems best value option.
  13. Will an adjustable motor mount such those made for the Clod Buster and Blackfoot work on a Baja King TL01B so that I can use pinions less than 19T?
  14. Or just waste plastic. Plastic/production costs are pence on a decent batch number. Tooling costs would have been fully amortised by now. Just pure profiteering.
  15. Shame they dont just sell the arms alone, you have to buy the whole treeat about £10 incl postage, only one arm per tree..
