Excellent! Sadly my pile of parts are still just that. I ordered a few other bits for it that are taking forever to arrive. I can get parts quicker from the other side of the planet than I can from a supplier in my own country!!!

very nice, like the use of the hotshot anti roll  bar, much better than stock. It does look in the photos though that the front shock towers on the dual shock model are on back to front, perhaps it's just the angle of the photo.

I saw your build:

ttp://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/64856-super-sabre-rebuild/

very nicely done! But although the hotshot anti-roll bar might be better, you have to trim down the super-sabre body in order to fit it on the chassis. that changes the distinctive look of the car (my opinion).

Thought I'd update this thread with a quick title change and progress report.

Over the last couple of months I've been slowly gathering parts for the conversion, I was held up forever waiting for parts from Radshape but they are here now so the rebuild has begun.

As well as those parts I have new wheels and tyres and whilst waiting for the parts to arrive I painted the Boomerang shell and fitted a new set of decals.

I'll wait until the car is finished before showing the decals, they aren't entirely box art!

The shell itself is not a genuine Tamiya item, tis but a copy but it will do nicely.

More to come then!

Well I had intended to take pics as I went along but once I started I couldn't stop!

I'll take some better pics when the sun comes up but until then-

Just need a battery tray retaining bolt and a sport tuned motor then she's about done.

Here we go then!

It has Radshape's front and rear shock towers and front bumper and decals from MCi in Canada. I kept the resistor in place but under the shell it has a Quicrun esc and Flysky radio gear.
Having done the trade with chevelle for the blue Boomerang parts, the ones I used on this car were painted black as the blue would have looked odd with the decal colours I wanted.

Also just noticed the wing needs a slight adjustment!

Please let me understand: the front shock tower is bolted only on front upper arms.

Doesn't it break too easy at the first crash or roll over?

very nice car, congrats on that!

the front shock tower adds quite some aggressiveness to the car. looks very cool. however, radshaperc offers a different 2-shock front mod for the boomerang, that seems more sturdy but without the coolness-factor:

It seems sturdy enough however I haven't rolled it yet so couldn't say how it will hold up in a crash. I'd like to think Radshape tested the thing before they started selling them but to be honest, as with many of my cars now, I prefer to build them rather than drive them so unless it drops of the shelf, it should last for quite some time!

@ Dangerseeker - I nearly bought the smaller option until I saw this one, after that the shorter option didn't get a look in. I may well grab one if the larger one does fail.

Could you take more detailed pictures of the part please?

Don't you think your sag is to much, especially on front dampers?
