Mtbkym01's kyosho scorpion 2014 build

Recommended Posts

Bought 2 of these way back when they were released and decided this weekend (being a long weekend, and having my wife out working all weekend ;)) was the time to crack into a build.  I'll let the pics do the talking

So is this going to be the next race car or a light runner / shelfer ? .

Looking great so far , what colour you thinking of painting it ?

The usual MtbKym01 paint scheme !! .

A light runner that sits on the shelf

Paint will be a simple scheme

Got some time this morning to finish this off, and gave it a little run in the street, it really is a credit to Kyosho how this runs, feels like it would be competitive with my AE B5 if I put in modern brushless running gear, fantastic effort big K, thumbs up from me B)

I think next I'll crack into my Type 2 WR02 Kombi, or Bruiser, or Egress, or Tomahawk :o aarrgghh, too many choices

feel free to comment on this one, or any questions, I'd be happy to answer to the best of my ability

That's come up a treat , nice paint colour choice as always . I have been waiting to buy one of theses & Tomahawk .

But they have never came into the shop ( after the 1st lot had sold ) I put in order & i have asked & of course asked again . Don't think there isn't any left in Australia  & must be waiting for the next lot to come in the country ?.

Tomahawk next i recon :D  Have you got the Optima Yet ?.

Nope, apparently Optimas haven't arrived in Oz yet, my LHS checks regularly for me, he has 1 or 2 others who want one as well, still deciding on 1 or 2. Just picked up a Kyosho Le Mans 240 vintage motor, not sure whether to fit it into Tomahawk or keep for Optima.

Love the colour, that looks really sharp Kym!

My LHS has a Tomohawk and an Optima but I think it would be the Beetle or Scorpion that would sway me. Love looking at the engineering in these things.
