Surely there has to be more than this. I cannot remember a time gone by when we are nearly into May and there has been such a paucity of release news for Shizuoka.

They did leave the Buggy Champ announcement just one week before the Shizuoka show, and the Bruiser a matter of days before Nuremberg, so hopefully this means they have a few big 40th anniversary surprises to unveil late in the day.

I;d agree Andy - for the on-road junkies three 'higer end' chassis is a huge move but for the off road fraternity two XB models is simply pants.

There will be more, the nostalgia being generated with the Kyosho releases can surely only spur Mr Ts crew into another classy re-release

Clearly, the delay is due to them frantically reworking that Blackfoot body. :P

Well if you look at the sequence of numbers..

58632 - Racing Team Hahn Truck TT-01E

58633 - Blackfoot 2016

58634 - ?

58635 - Midnight Pumpkin Metallic

58636 - TA07 PRO

58637 - ?

So possibly safe to assume the Blackfoot will be announced and something else.

I wouldn't be too shocked if it was the Lancia Rally (given the willys wheeler rere) or something on the MF-01X chassis

I'm hoping for another MF-01X release, or maybe even a MF-01RA 4WD rally car.

No, just the result of a typo and trusting google a bit too much! :P  It should have been 58365.

Since the early 80's, an important part of the Tamiya hobby for me has been building a "database" on all "letter code", 4-digit and 5-digit Tamiya items, including future releases. It's tedious work and it takes a lot of effort far beyond just googling to get it correct.  Not the least because most sources are inaccurate, so any information found where Tamiya Japan isn't the direct source, needs to be checked very carefully. That said, even Tamiya Japan do occasionally provide incorrect information.

47321 Porsche 911 GT2 Racing (TA02SW)
84431 Porsche 934 RSR Jägermeister (TA02SW)

Interesting! I'd imagine the 47321 GT2 is the 84399 re-released under a new number, like the Fighting Buggy was.

The 934 I suspect will have the 49400 30th Anniversary body, with the TamTech 1/12 Jägermeister graphics scaled up. I hope there's some new wheels as the 49400's 24mm ones were far too skinny and the TA-02 GT2 wheels aren't period correct.

Time to get this finished while it's still fairly unique!

I like the sound of the 934, though if the wheels are indeed duff I may just go for the body shell for my existing GT2.

Did Tamiya ever make a car trailer, so we can tow these beauties about?

Sounds great but in the headline of the tamiyablog post is written:

"probably presented".

So nothing fix?
