EddScott 134 Posted October 25, 2016 I'm nearing the completion of a Hotshot 2 project I've been working on and a bit stuck for a front mono damper. I'd like to use after market items and have Turnigy Trackstars to go on. However, the front damper mounting points are further apart than the actual mounts on the front arms. I was wondering, those that have used an aftermarket damper for the front shock, what did you do to mount it? I'm guessing fabricating a bracket of some kind? chevelle 997 Posted October 26, 2016 Pictures are always a help you know there are 2 directions you can fit your shock mounts, Facing inwards you will get 76mm centers & facing outwards you will get 86mm centers What is the centers on the shock you want to use?
EddScott 134 Posted October 27, 2016 Ah, I don't have the D Parts tree. Might be quicker to fab something up rather than wait for D parts to come up somewhere.

iluvmud 812 Posted October 28, 2016 You could buy the tamiya cvs shocks that came with the front aluminum shock tower hop up option to convert it into a dual shock setup...
EddScott 134 Posted October 28, 2016 Thank you guys. I have some Turnigy dampers that would fit nicely with the HS2. Are the damper brackets on Boomerang B Parts tree same as HS2 brackets? Failing that, I'll fab something up out of carbon.
