Torhaantje 66 Posted December 9, 2016 Hi all, I have a question concerning Lexan paint which can be applied by brush. Are there any other brands than Tamiya ( their PC line) that carry paint for lexan bodies that can be applied by brush? Regards, Rick
ChrisRx718 4470 Posted December 10, 2016 There are some which can be brushed on which are generally intended for use in an airbrush. Be warned, whatever your reason for not using a propellant, metallic paints don't really work being brushed on (in my experience at least).
mongoose1983 3335 Posted December 10, 2016 Hi Rick, Chris is correct on the metallic paints. Still, I always prefer to use the brush when painting lexan. My favorite is the Faskolor, which is made by the legendary RC company PARMA. They are cheap, and great quality. And also not hard to find. Torhaantje 66 Posted December 10, 2016 Thanks Chris and Mongoose for your replies, I will give the Faskolors a try for sure! Cheers, Rick
Tamiyabigstuff 832 Posted December 10, 2016 I've used Tamiya PC brush on metallic paint and have been very satisfied with the results. Silver on the front grille & rear bumper on a Bush Devil & metallic red on a Dyna Blaster body. Stir it well to start with & stir regularly to prevent the pigment settling in the jar. I have quite a few jars of Tamiya PC paint spare but will only ship within the UK.
