Matt888 61 Posted August 30, 2015 After another successful afternoon of bashing I managed to break 2 front wheels and lose the rear number plate. So my question is where is the best / cheapest place to buy a set of wheels? Standard plastic ones or alloys? I will post pictures later.
mongoose1983 3335 Posted August 30, 2015 Not one but two front wheels broken!? Wow, that must have been a super harsh bash! I always thought the triple wheels were resistant, I must admit I'm surprised. Anyway, you're lucky the spindles survived as they're the most fragile bit on the Scorcher re-re. Maybe you can try some different wheel/tire combination for your Scorcher?

mongoose1983 3335 Posted August 30, 2015 Also, I'm sure that using the original bumper when running would be of help so you won't break those front wheels anymore.
Matt888 61 Posted August 30, 2015 Or he could drive more slow Max The track I was on was quite small, it probably only got about a foot off the floor and landed on the down ramp, from the jump that did this.
Wooders28 4723 Posted September 6, 2015 I have never seen tamiya wheels snap like that, cracked a bit from over tightening, but not snapped. Hats off to you!
shenlonco 1156 Posted September 7, 2015 I think you over tightened the wheel screws and nuts that hold them together...or another culprit did you use thread lock on the screws? If so it will make the plastic latterly crack itself and break apart without bashing after a while.
