  1. it is looking amazing .come on get some paint on it and lets see what it looks like
  2. are you wanting a particular part or a full chassis
  3. I use photobucket.you have to load your photo onto this site. then copy and paste it to this one. when your ready to paste type in at the end of it on photo bucket site use the 'direct' option for for copying hope this helps. I was struggling until the guys on here helped me out with this. if this doesn't seem clear go into the tc builds forum and look on my alloy wild one thread. there are a few ways to do it
  4. with the success I have had with the other repairs I had a go at a drive shaft last night. and again I had a lot of success with it. its turned out quite well.there was a piece broken away from the outer diameter. I cut a piece to fill in the gap and then welded it in situ. I then dress this back to match up with the rest of the features I then shot blasted it to get the finish to match the rest of the part I have to look at it hard to spot the repair.turned out really well
  5. other picture is here school boy error.posted same picture twice doooh!!!! any ideas ??
  6. yes I am building all four srb's. I have found that the 2 casings for the mark 2??(I believe please correct me if im wrong) do not fit together properly. as anyone any ideas on this.the webbing on the left hand case goes all the way to the back and does not allow the rib on the other side to fit in. I have notice the also the rear hole is larger on one.could this be off a super champ and the other is an earlier version? any advise and yes if you would like me to have a go at fixing your parts just pm me.i will weld up ,degrease them and then shot blast them back.
  7. just thought I would give it a try. the suspension arm that was cracked was difficult to weld. with it being so thin. but the rest that had a bigger cross section was easier to do. and like you if it hadn't worked they would never have been used. the casing and one of the arms are I believe a mark one version so wanted to try and get these back to glory.
  8. decided to do a spot of repair work to my srb casting. these have seen the wars a bit. first is did the front suspensions.one had a crack in the spring locator and the other two had the movement stops broken away. then I welded up the crack and welded on some small bits of alloy.shaped them back and shot blasted it to get the finish all the same I then had some damaged casing to sort out.firstly there was damage to the roll bar location. I had to build this up with weld, then dressed it back and again shot blasted to match up the rest next part was damage to the triangle section where it looks like someone as tried to convert the parts to take posts for the super champ deck posts there was also some damage to the inner area.just filled this with weld and dressed back the final part was a rib section in the drive shaft area.this had broken off.i had to make a small section and weld this in position.dressed it back and again shot blasted to blend in. busy few hours for me
  9. yes the different colours are different models. the original is in two parts. I would have to join the purple section to the rest of the gun to look like the original. I will have a look for a canister and see if I can add one on.good idea
  10. I have been working on a ally fav to go with my wildone and had a go at modelling the gun from the original.thought it may look good with the, is it a 50cal on the military verison of yours.had fun trying to do this think this would be a little tricky to make from alloy. detailing is very small.i would have to get specialist cutters to make these
  11. maybe changing the fine detail to a meshing could be another way to go. not sure on materials as yet.been reading lots on here for ideas.i haven't found a printer as yet in the uk.maybe I should do it! not seen may chevy or gmc truck here in the uk so not sure of the variants in light positions etc. I have model the original to match the front grill. maybe some one could suggest ideas or post real trucks from some ideas.here is the model of the tailgate bumper and retainer so any ideas for extras or mods?
  12. this turned up this morning.one of many on here but I had to get one.been waiting to get it for a while and they had some spare bodies too. so I bagged a couple of them also
  13. well here is the car that started the project off.i have refurbed this with as many vintage parts as I could get hold of before the rere was put on sale. I got some rere wheels for it but decided to repair the rims so to keep the originals.the shell and roof was originally painted green so I stripped this off trying to retain the original decals as much as possible and then went for boxart black. the suspension was polished up. chassis roll bars and side plate were painted and then all electrics refitted.i picked this up with a fox too but I will be looking to pass this on to fund other projects. I know this is not a special build but its what started me off with the alloy verison I left the spot lights with original decals on as they came.also the driver although poorly painted shows the vintage touch to it I do still have the controller and battery too but don't have a picture of this.i am sure with with some fresh volts it will run again but this will be shelved with the alloy version I am looking also to add a fav to make it a pair.currently drawing up the models right now.i have drawn the side bars and battery cover today. will be posting the alloy shortly
  14. I am keeping the alloy I in a natural look and trying to polish most of it .the bits I didn't make I have painted gloss black.at the minute I am fortunately making the parts from scrap bits from work.ssssshhhhh.so the cost in hardly anything its just time. I have allsorts of ideas going around my head and what I want to do. I really would like to get my own cnc so I can make the things I need straight away instead of having to wait around for them thanks for all the comments I will get some pictures on shortly
  15. just watching transformer-the first film. as anyone built or what are the nearest cars to the ones in the film that Tamiya as to offer. I think that a collection in these decals would look pretty cool.
