essexbill 23 Posted February 6, 2016 Hello. Just wondering how many people have or are thinking about buying a Monster Dump Truck?

Mokei Kagaku 2706 Posted February 9, 2016 You don't need one dump truck. You need two, like me.....eh..... (see below my pic!) .....you need three, like this Japanese enthusiast!
taliesin 260 Posted February 9, 2016 I don't read lips, but I think perhaps that grin says it all. Something like, "Neener, Neener, Neener" or perhaps, " All Mine! Bwahaahaa." Either way, I like it.

taliesin 260 Posted March 5, 2016 Just built mine this week and had a chance to run several battery packs today - the verdict is ... I absolutely LOVE this little truck. Honestly, I think this might be an instant classic along the lines of the Lunchbox or Wild Willy for those who are just getting started with Tamiya. It has all the right elements for a memorable classic that a new generation will look back on the same way we are all doing with the Lunchie and Willy. Simple to build, rugged, and come on - a Tonka Truck that does wheelies!!??? What's not to love? Especially for youngsters and kids. I didn't baby it and it tipped over A LOT, but it didn't even phase it. Jumps, wheelies, and good clean (ok, slightly muddy) fun with no breakage and no issues. Someone here on this forum once described driving either the Lunchbox or maybe a Wild Willy as "comically ridiculous" and that phrase has always stuck with me as the perfect description. It fits this model to a T. Cheap, cheerful, and durable wheelie-action fun. And it looks just like the Tonka Truck I had as a kid. LOVE IT! PS: It is also nice for a change to not put a lot of brain power into mods and upgrades and whatnot. Really, a steel pinion and some bearings and you're off to the races. Oil shocks if you must, but the bounciness is all part of the fun anyhow, so not that big a deal for those on a budget the pogo sticks do fine.
essexbill 23 Posted March 6, 2016 It sounds like you enjoyed the build, and your having loads of fun driving it.
taliesin 260 Posted March 6, 2016 Yeah, it was a simple build and provided a couple of relaxing hours in the hobby room. The longest part was waiting for the brushed paint to dry on the grill and exhaust pipes. I'm impressed by how much fun you can have with a simple, easy to build RC. Just an enjoyable build and some no-hassle running that leaves you with a smile on your face.
igbandy 34 Posted March 23, 2016 I had to get one of these, as I had wanted a GF-01 since release, however there was no way I was buying the Toyota FJ! I built it stock with bearings, and its a hoot with a 2s lipo A couple of photo's of mine with some homemade CAT stickers. And with some RC4WD Rock Crusher tyres.
