Tamiya Nova Fox Front Dampers Conversion (mono to twin)

Recommended Posts

Hi to everyone, this is my work: A front conversion from 1 mono damper to 2 dampers. I'm running on a 3Racing dampers set, Tamiya DF-03 MS white shocks and Tamiya Oil Soft Yellow #400, the plates were designed with cad and milled from a 2mm thick carbon fiber plate. The upper damper link it's made by steel and milled by hand.

I did my best in this work, hope you will like it, and as always, every advice is well accepted. ;)

Do you have an overall shot of the car? I would love to see how the car looks over all with the mod. How does it run? I have never owned a Fox so I know nothing about them other than their trademark front monoshock.

Hi, i have this photo that takes all the car, but it has a low shot point, hope it goes well :). it runs very good, the handling its improved a lot, in my opinion with no need to change tires. now the front end its capable to take jumps better thanks to an increased ground clearence (not so much compared to the mono damper ground clearence, but still a better one) and to the major capacity to absorb quite heavy shocks thanks to the twin dampers. the car also in stock setting it is what it is, it's not a professional buggy, but for what it is it handles quite well. The novafox is well known for the steering problems, but there are no many solutions to resolve it. it's also known to be a shelf queen both fox and novafox, infact i've decided two days ago to restore it and bring it back to the original setting with front mono damper. In my opinion its a must to have, both fox and novafox.

Hope i've been quite clear. :) bye.

Max

Max, i'm sorry :( but i can't do it no more, i decided to restore my novafox, and bring it back to the original setting, and make it a shelf queen. (maybe i will run it some times on indoor carpet tracks.)
