TWINSET 1793 Posted August 3, 2015 For those that don't do Facebook, sneaky peak from Gmade;
Nitomor 2122 Posted August 3, 2015 I like Gmade stuff, they seem to put a lot of effort into their products.
JennyMo 3526 Posted August 3, 2015 Nice! - looks like it comes with plenty of body accessories (included?) - the roof-rack, snorkel, mirrors, bull-bar... I just wish they would make hard-bodies for these chassis rather than lexan. Jx
backtomyroots 432 Posted August 3, 2015 Sawback chassis with a new lid ? Or all new design ? Looks great !
TWINSET 1793 Posted August 4, 2015 Christopher - you'll have to wait and see Jenny; yes, the accessories are all included - Sand ladders, snorkel, shovel, roofrack, mirrors etc.
backtomyroots 432 Posted August 4, 2015 That last photo looks like the chassis is close to the Sawback through the windshield, but doesn't matter it is a well done vehicle. Pricing is always good with them so it may find it's way to my workbench .
mr crispy 2293 Posted August 4, 2015 Looks likes its got the balance right between looking good but still being capable on the rough stuff.
Terz1 745 Posted August 4, 2015 Very nice. Another to add to the growing list. *Edit. How would one of these compare to an axial scx10 for example? Perfomance, quality and price wise. I've heard lots of good things about axial but Gmade are new to me. After a quick look they look like a nice piece of kit.
TWINSET 1793 Posted August 4, 2015 *Edit. How would one of these compare to an axial scx10 for example? Perfomance, quality and price wise. Nobody except GMade knows yet In the past, GMade kits and products have been excellent quality and very resonably priced if you buy direct from South Korea via Junfac.com- I've been buying their stuff for the last 10 years and never had any issue with them
Terz1 745 Posted August 4, 2015 Sounds good too me . I was wondering if this was basically a sawback with a different shell with the comparison performance wise. Just been watching some youtubes and the sawback looks really good. I might have to make this komodo my first gmade if it's anywhere near that model.
TWINSET 1793 Posted August 4, 2015 If you get super-bored there's some Sawback build pics here
Nitomor 2122 Posted August 5, 2015 Nice thread, hadn't seen it before. That shell would be very nice for my WT01 if it fits. Hope they offer it as a body set.
TWINSET 1793 Posted August 5, 2015 Body sets are available for the Sawback and Sawback Sport so hopefully the Komodo shell will follow eventually

TWINSET 1793 Posted August 7, 2015 Light buckets supplied, LEDs optional
backtomyroots 432 Posted August 7, 2015 Nice, they ditched the leaf springs for fur links by the looks of it. LEDS and that front bumper really make it appetizing.
bsy2010 218 Posted August 7, 2015 Although I really like the products Gmade has introduced over the past years, I would have liked to see a licensed body of a real car. But the scale parts look pretty nice... I just can't deal with this style of marketing - teaser shots and and videos that generates lots of speculation but doesn't provide any real info. Vaterra just released their Bronco on a SWB Ascender chassis without all the marketing fuzz
ozace 20 Posted August 8, 2015 I am in for one of these, I love my R1 and Sawback

TWINSET 1793 Posted September 16, 2015 Nothing - it's close to release now so only promo stuff's coming out Best watched with the sound off;
Terz1 745 Posted September 16, 2015 Looking good. I'll wait for its release price. An axial scx10 is in my sights. I'd like to have seen even a basic interior in it though.
TWINSET 1793 Posted September 17, 2015 Due for release 'October 2015' MSRP $305
ChrisRx718 4470 Posted September 17, 2015 Pretty amazing value really, especially if you already have electronics. I had a long look at this on Rcmart earlier today. Would love to use one of those hardbody Jeep shells though, would they fit on this size chassis? Then could sell this bodyshell on for w decent amount with those nice accessories!
