  1. I at one time had a Super Blackfoot (same drivetrain)... I Had, and still have, now on a set of rims for my king cab, duratrax onroad tires, check tower hobbies part# dtxc8005 or dtxc8006.
  2. You Guys are crazy, I'm Married, and as long as i let her know, it's almost always ok.(Cost in mind ofcourse, but thats up to US, not just me or her)

    Bolink

Anyone have a Bolink Evo? Chassis? Handles like **** but alot of fun!
  4. I have the S-10, It's hard to get too much more torqe from the gearbox. (is why i wanted to go to touring) However, i plan on trying 2.2 Blackfoot V-tread tires. They do fit, i just haven't had time to try them out on the street. The Gears only allow down to a 16Tooth pinion. (stock is 17)
  5. MY First Was a FX-10, Was a great biginers buggy. had issues with terrible front handling, the dogbones, were easly destroyed with pro-longed use(only the stock 540 was ever used.) the gearbox however was indestructable. I know I know not really Tamiya, But Made By Tamiya fer Futaba.
  6. I Actually Own a King Cab, or actually whats left of it, i took it apart hopeing to finding a new chassis a few years ago and have lost most of the parts, (still got the Leathol weapon ][ belt drive tranny for it though if anyone interested) I Acutally think the Mad Bull Looks like fun, and to get another Super(king now i guess) Blackfoot, always a bast.
  7. quote: Originally posted by miramar Converting your S-10 to a touring car is quite simple. However, the S-10 and its siblings Ford F150 and Toyota Prerunner aren't pure TA02's, but a mix of TA02 and TA01, which among other things means the chassis has the TA02 tub but the TA01 suspension. Accordingly, the wheelbase is 250mm and not the usual 257-260mm of most touring cars. Some bodies can be cut to fit anyway, and Tamiya has launched two different bodies (Toyota MR-S and Audi Abt TT-R) to go with the TA04SS which also has a 250mm wheelbase. However, to convert your S-10 to touring spec, you would need more than just the body. If you have cut the bodymounts to the proper length for your S-10, you will probably need new body mounts (depending on which body you choose), and though you could use the S-10 wheels for touring tires (they are the same diametre as standard touring wheels!), you would probably want some wheels that look a little less "utilitarian" [] to go with a sleek low body. For serious handling, you would need inserts for the tires too. Lowering the model by putting spacers in the dampers is the easiest chore, especially as spacers are included in the S-10 kit (if you haven't already discarded them). S-10 shock towers are same as original TA01 and TA02 shock towers, so you don't need to change them. So where is this leading? Well, you need some expensive parts to convert your S-10, and you "loose" your off-roader by doing so. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, I would suggest you rather get a Tamiya TL01 (or a TL01LA with the improved suspension) touring car. Depending on where you live, you might be able to get one for less money than the cost of converting your S-10, especially if you're not too hung up on a special body. Also, brand new TL01's can often be found quite cheap on eBay, but for convinience and shipping cost, it again depends on where you live. Good luck! id="quote">id="quote"> GREAT! Alot more info than i could expect! Thank you so much, i'll prob check into a touring ready car... Thanx again []
  8. Not Really a "knock off" But How About the Xray Touring cars??
  9. I'm almost 100% Possitive they will fit the Nissan King cab
  10. hahaha This One is Really funny to me, i've recently came back to R/C'en, I Used to Use a Futaba Mc230<it was the only one futaba made at the time> ... Anyway the Speed gem modified burnt before the speed control. (speed control took a dump in a traxxis boat that sank) I'm now using a XL-1, using a Terminal Velocity 11 turn double. (Made by kyosho, dunno if it's even made any more)... I'n my opinion if you feel comfy do it, if your sceared or can't aford another one don't...
  11. I've Been out of R/C for a long while now, i have a tamiya s-10 with the TA-02. I Was Wondering, if i put 24-26mm wheels and tires, with a car body would it work? would i need new body mounts or shock towers? Thanks if ya could help...
