  1. If it was uploaded then this site was not hacked by anon. it was somebody using their name. Anon. is a politically motivated group and could care less about us.. And I don't keep money, as it is worthless in it's own right. It is just given a value by the FED who creates as much as they want. And the FED is a privately owned company not part of the Gov. Keep precious metals and sell it as needed. But don't keep money itself, ever..
  2. If you research them you will find out they aren't going to do didly with any info they got from tamiya club.. Sure like to see them drain my bank account, because I don't have a bank account, thank you very much....
  3. More than likely your site is on a server with more important information they are interested in.. They just took a dump of the entire server instead of wasting time picking and choosing, or someone they are interested in is a member here.... Have no fear though, anon. is here to protect us as citizens from the powers that be. They are not bad guys, they are just made out to be by the media. They don't hack it for profit, they hack to get information that people are hiding that they shouldn't be, then they expose them for what they really are. Heck they even got a chief member of the FBI to quit his job after they exposed him and his dirty secrets. Look into them if you are that curious I think you will be surprised. I would be flattered if I got hacked by an anon. member. We have nothing to hide, so carry on RC!
  4. Comparing a Bruiser to an exotic car is not even a logical comparison. Exotic cars are built with the finest and often times most rare and expensive materials, put together with great precision and care. TONS of research goes into cars that go 200mph or more and this is not cheap either. Figure this with the fact that exotic cars are usually built in limited numbers thus making the price even higher to cover all the costs with just a few units. So are you telling me this Bruiser is made out of carbon fiber and titanium built by the best people in the world and millions of dollars of research put into it and produced in limited numbers, thus justifying it's cost? I have news for you, it is made of plastic and cheap metals, little to no research went into it, they already did that the first time and they are not limited by any means of the imagination, and then they just toss it all in a box. At least with a Lamborghini you get a bottle of champagne to go with your reaming... Tamiya knows the market for these, and knows they can make them way over priced, so they did. Plain and simple. That is economics... I'm not complaining because it is out of my price range either, I am complaining because it is blatant over pricing of a product. Kind of makes me think of that other thing we all pay to much for, OIL... There is more than enough of it, yet they charge as much as they want for it, why? Because they can, that's why.... Not because of demand or quality that is for sure...
  5. Especially after seeing the un-boxing. I for sure wont be getting one now. I would have been so let down if I had put that money down and opened that box. I mean really, no blister packs or anything. Just toss it all in the box n here you go. for 700 bucks I want more than that, sorry Tamiya. And I just saw a complete vintage one sell for under 500.... That better be one heck of a transmission to cost 300 dollars over the price of the Hilux or vintage Bruiser. Suddenly I love my Hilux just that much more...
  6. That is crazy! It makes me wonder though, where did they get the tires? Just wheels wrapped in foam maybe?
  7. Ouch, I did want one until you posted this wonderful news..
  8. Wow! Happy Birthday! If it wasn't for this site I would not have around 50 RC cars. I have loved every minute of it and here is to 10 more.
  9. Considering for that price you could buy a full size Toyota truck, count me out. 500 us dollars maybe, but over 700, forget it. I Prefer the Mountaineer anyways, which I am sure will follow. But if the price doesn't change I am going to pass. Aren't vintage Bruisers in that ball park for a nice one as it is? Why so much for the re-re I just don't get it?
  10. The way I look at it is. Liquid mask is like paint since it is liquid. If I need tape to make a line straight, I sure wont be able to make a straight line with liquid mask any better than I would paint. So I stick with tape. But there are those times when it does come in handy.. And use the slow light coat method to seal the tape. It works wonders, patience is a virtue...
  11. Welcome back. I am in Auburn, WA. and I have a similar story to yours. When I found my stuff in my mom's storage I had approx. 3 cars left. Now, 3 years later? Well I have 40+. Be careful, the RC bug bites hard and is addicting! Personally for me, I like building and restoring them more than driving them. But if I had a nice track to drive on that would be different I am sure.. ENJOY!
  12. Mine was the almighty Grasshopper back in about 1987 or so. And that thing took a beating. And even wore a Toyota IMSA GTP body and slicks at one time in it's life. It sure seemed a lot easier to build the second time as an adult though, I finished it and was like, um that's it?
  13. Personally I would like it to be a Mountaneer, or the old 3 speed hilux..
  14. How about a 1/5 scale Avante sc truck. That would surely be big, in size that is...
  15. Also, the PDF files of the manuals are really just pictures if you think about it. They aren't picture files per say as I thought. But it isn't like they are copies by any means. So why don't boxes and the cars themselves fall under the same rules. I mean really they are saying we can't take a picture of a manual and post it? That is, well I don't have to tell you how stupid that really is. And if we can post pictures of the manuals. Just post them as jpgs instead of pdf. and the problem is solved. Seriously I'd like to see them complain about a picture of a page in a manual. That would be the cherry on the cake...
