XV Pilot 1936 Posted April 24, 2014 There are a few things you could do to improve your chances of a sale: List each car separately. A lot of people like the CC01, but few people would want to buy a bunch of them all at once. Research postage costs and indicate them in the advert. People would be more likely to agree to buy if they had a better idea of the total price. Accept Paypal. Payment via bank transfer gives no buyer protection, and is off-putting to potential buyers who don't know you. If you don't want to pay Paypal fees, that is fine - just specify in the advert that buyers must use the "buyer pays fees" option. (Don't demand payment via Paypal Gift - that is no better than bank transfer, and just makes you look dodgy.) 2 Share this post Link to post
maitan 2 Posted June 29, 2014 Sorry, but I don't want to sale one or two cars, and still the other two cars months and months. Share this post Link to post
mr crispy 2293 Posted September 30, 2014 Perhaps you should take XV Pilots advice maitan. I'd think it's highly unlikely you'll find someone that what's to buy 4 very similar CC01s in one go with no idea on the postage. If I were you I'd split them up and stick them on eBay. Start with the spares if you don't want to see the cars go yet. Share this post Link to post
Tamiya1/10 382 Posted October 1, 2014 I think 6 months in the market with no taker indicates the price is too high. You may have paid more with the electronics included, but since the re release, these cc or xc has dropped in value even for new in box. The pajero and the jeep may be desirable, but the MUs may not be that popular. You may want to have another look at what other TC members have suggested and decide on your next move. There is a customer out there is looking for what you have, but just haven't seen your ad yet. Keep in mind the longer the models stay in the open market, the advantage will shift to the buyer knowing there is no taker. Mind you, you may only sell it if it meets your turns. The ball is back in your court. Share this post Link to post
SteveU30 1011 Posted October 1, 2014 Sorry to be brutal but the price is way too high, most of these cars regularly sell for around £150 each in the UK so for someone to buy all of then together you need to make the price even more attractive. Otherwise sell seperately for maximum profit. Share this post Link to post
ChrisRx718 4470 Posted October 1, 2014 Precisely, this is at least 200% the price it should be. Share this post Link to post
Percymon 2184 Posted October 1, 2014 I'm not going to discuss the price, after all its easy enough to see what prices these sell for on eBay. But as others have said selling as a job lot will not find a buyer, unless they are sold at a really low price where the buyer will take the lot and sell off the ones they don't want. I can't imagine anyone wants to buy 4 CC-01 models. If someone either has a passion for the CC-01 or just wants to collect all original Tamiya models then chances are they already have one or two of those models already. Someone new to the CC-01 will only want to buy one model, or possibaly a second one if they already own one already. So irrespective of the price, you are extremely unlikely to find anyone wantign to buy as a total lot. Share this post Link to post
maitan 2 Posted January 19, 2015 I'm open to offers, best offers or sell individually Share this post Link to post
bromvw 744 Posted January 19, 2015 I would sell them individually . The Wrangler should fetch a good price .The others perhaps less so as their not quite as sort after . As for the parts i would do them as individual listings on ebay in order to get the best prices for them . Good quality parts fetch good money . bit of work needed on your part sorting through all the excellent parts you have but it will be worth the effort . Share this post Link to post
StrokerBoy 772 Posted April 7, 2015 You're selling a job-lot. Well, 2 job-lots. So you can only expect job-lot offers, which is about a quarter of what you're asking. As it is, it'll only appeal to someone who just wants one of your cars with a view to selling the others on, or even breaking them to get some of their money back. You're not selling a collection as such, you're basically just selling several very similar and not-that-special cars. As many others have already suggested, offer each car separately, with a price and a rough estimate of shipping costs. Share this post Link to post
Old Fella 0 Posted April 13, 2015 I'd be interested in one of the Mu's deppending on price. I cant make an offer without knowing the post costs to the UK though. I have sent private message. cheers jim Share this post Link to post
