  1. No modern 1/10 can take that either. That isn't the context of the discussion. Try better to be a better more contributive member of the forum.
  2. The RC10 followed 1:1 racing car philosophy, keep it simple. It's almost impossible to break. The turnbuckles are the only thing you need to replace, they bend very easily due to their thin diameter. I've restored 2 old vintage RC10s. One team car and one worlds car. They take modern abuse well, no mods needed to run brushless or lipos. There's a company making perfect replica parts for the OG RC10s called Fan RC. If you actually brake something they got your back. I'll be driving and racing the 4oth, although with a different chassis!
  3. Pretty cool video from AE.
  4. Its right in line with other quality rere. Its a good price for 2024.
  5. The tops are different BUT the rere Terra Scorcher are the exact same dimensions.
  6. Look, I love Tamiya that said AE does not need the spare support that Tamiya does. You aren't going to brake anything. It's a vintage rere you can get ANYTHING online.
  7. What's period correct body options are still available for the RC10? Just the current Jconcepts ones?!I like them, and I have one for the Team Car I'm building. Just wondering there are other options.
  8. In regards to support JConcepts is a HUGE OG RC10 supporter, I bet they will release their RC10 parts again. Ie turnbuckles, wheels, shock towers, bell crank steering etc. Some of which you can still buy from them .
  9. Other then the chassis which can get pretty beat up even just running in the grass the rest of the car is pretty bulletproof. Buy a used gold chassis, use that for the build and for running. If you ever decided to sell rebuild with the mint 40 anni chassis, done. Preorder from AE .
  10. If you look at the classic and the world's you won't lose money. My rec buy a beat up gold chassis and nose plate for cheap, use that for the build, run it, and when you get bored rebuild with the new chassis and sell.
  11. You really need both! I have a rere Egress and my brother's OG Avante. They really are fun to drive and quite different. The rere Egress's stiffer and thicker servo arm eliminates some of the bump steer the og had, I don't use a servo saver anymore with new servos and that also improved the steering.
  12. I swear some parts like the gear box covers are different plastic. Not sure about the other plastics. I use to run the Black version brushless on a 1/8 dirt off-road track and didn't break it bend anything.
  13. Its close enough and they deserve to make money, IM in!
  14. $100 US price increase after the last one was made 10 years ago is more then fair. I doubt there will be a cheaper Gold Pan, hopefully AE/Tiger is smartee then Tamiya and does a Graphite or Truck version next. A team car would be awesome!
  15. "No one" is an exageration, there are far fewer people wanting another Avante release compared ot those who are clamoring for an Anvante 2001. OG Astute, 959/Celica, Kingcab/Hilux, Dyna Storm etc. Tamiy started the Rere Genre and now they are just mailing it in. Disapointing!
