looks awesome. where did you get the aluminum chassis? -
i love those old Australian fords. my favorite is the Falcon XB GT 351 Coupe. i've wanted one of those ever since i saw Mad Max!!
-
omnimodels says late sept for a release date
-
i can't wait for this. i'm so putting one of those body's on my BF xtreme
-
just to add to this, went to the LHS today and borrowed a reedy wolfpack lipo. 3300 mah and a 30c rating. cut out same as before. gonna contact hobbywing and see what can be done.
-
my gearing is completely stock with a 20 tooth pinion. i don't ave a temp gun but a full 2000mah ni-mh battery will give me like 20 min of hard bashing and the moter and esc are barely warm. the battery gets hotter than both of em combined. as far as under geared, when i smash the throttle down that girl will slide out sideways on asphalt then take off like a bat of of badword(provided i counter-steer fast enough to keep her from doing a donut)
-
thanks!!!! that actually makes a lot of sense. guess i'm off the the hobbyshop this weekend to try one of their lipo's and see if that's my problem.
-
my balance wire has a red, blue and a black. red to black i get 8.37. red to blue i get 4.19. and from blue to black i have 4.19 also. would this indicate a bad battery? as far as putting it in her hornet, that's probably way off in the future if she can handle the car
-
a snap on mt454a multimeter. and yes that was after it cut out. this thing won't even run for 5 min, it cuts out after 2. i thought those readings were kinda high as the battery is only suppose to be a 7.4 volt
-
alright, i ran it till she cut out and i have 4.23v per cell. i'm beginning to think the esc is my problem. i may just save this combo for my step-daughter's hornet. i should have that friday and once she gets use to running it i'll let her run it on some new 5000mah ni-mh. will more than likely upgrade mine to the 60a 8.5t combo.

not even vaguely warm. but i'll give it a try when i get home from work and let you know
-
using the program card. is it possible that the battery just have the amps? just like an old car battery, shows 12 volts but doesn't have the amps to start the car?
-
tried it without the cut off on and she ran fine. turned the cutoff back on and didn't even make it 20 feet at wide open throttle before it kicked off again
-
i have the timing at zero and the punch is at like one or two. as far as the low voltage cutoff, i thought you would want that on with a lipo? or do you mean just for testing purposes?
