  1. Thank you for the kind words & part numbers as I can go order some of them now. I have all most finished the build just a few things to mod to make this model a bit better like some of you lot have done all ready. also I have added some drift discs & they look the part me thinks, I got them cheap along with a intercooler & exhaust tip etc etc. however only thing I am a bit worried about now is the spraying of the body shell as I have not done that before ! hence I am going to cut the body out right later this weekend & get some nice spray on order so I can finish that part off asap but the best I can. well here are some photos.
  2. Well the hop ups came last week but due to work & family I could only carry on with the build this week. I need to get a few parts to make the rear upper arm bar on the top suspension to come out more & level, like a few folks have done on here. hence if anyone can send me some part numbers etc or tips that would be great. also I need to sort out a few little things to make it more tidy. & I need to get some spray for the body what I have never done,,,, so fingers & toes crossed I can spray it ok ! however I would like to spray it in a midnight purple colour like the great Nissan skyline gtr's but I need to find some where what stocks it hint hint. thanks kenny
  3. I got the parts today in the post ! they look great but I am away for a week now hence I will carry on with the build when I get back,,,,, sods laws.
  4. just ordered myself these too = 1 x 54659 MF-01X Carbon Damper Stay (Rear) GBP 6.20 1 x 54658 MF-01X Aluminum Servo Mount GBP 8.09 1 x 54660 MF-01X Aluminum Motor Mount GBP 7.52 should be with me in time with my servo so I can carry on the build....... cheers for the heads up on the above parts lee & folks. kenny
  5. that's a bit mad ! to fast for me to control at that size as I would need some ninja skills to keep it up right . looks cool but a tad unstable but with some more driving skills it could work fine for some of you folks..... just been reading the build log etc ( in English thanks to google translate ). however I can not carry on my jimny build due to the servo not being with me for a few more weeks the sold as been sold out & it is now on back order. but I have other rc things to carry on with in the meanwhile. I like the "Subaru Sambar track" WRC specification body.
  6. a few photos & can I make a mini build log on this forum ( just seen I can ). thanks kenny
  7. well folks I started my build today, only done the front diff & gearbox as I am still waiting for a better servo. I used some aw grease but man is that stuff thick ! I built a diff up & then redid it with little aw in it. the Tamiya grease was used on the plastic gear \diff parts, with the aw on the metal internal diff gears & pins parts but only a very very small amount. still learning as I have not build a rc car \ jeep etc for around 25 years.... great fun so far even if it is only for 20 mins. just waiting for the servo so I can crack on as I don't really want to skip a part on this build. however I am a tad worried about spraying the body because me & paint do not go hand in hand..... but I will give it a go when I need to. kenny
  8. great thank you & I have read what there is about jimny builds on here, there is some great tips etc for me to remember & do ,

I have taken a few apart from some mishaps' & I have upgraded a few of them too. however I have just brought this jimny rc & I have it here next to me now, so I am just asking for any heads up on how to build it ie what oils greases' etc do I need or should use. I have a few in stock what I will write down asap. also I have ordered these upgrades all ready from = Tamiya #54643 - OP.1643 MF-01X New M Size Full Bearing Set for 4WD Chassis Tamiya #54654 - S Wheelbase Propeller Shaft for MF-01X OP.1654 Tamiya #54655 - L Wheelbase Propeller Shaft for MF-01X OP.1655 Tamiya 5x9mm Ball Connector (x5) For when I get some new alloy adj stockers \ dampers I would like to get these but I can not find anywhere so far who as got them in stock = Tamiya #54660 - MF-01X Aluminium Motor Mount Tamiya #54658 - MF-01X Aluminium Servo Mount Tamiya #54659 - MF-01X Carbon Damper Stay (Rear) well that's it for now & I will write up my build log along with some photos etc. hence I will get all the stuff I have so far & fingers crossed I have the right sort of grease & oils etc all ready but if not I will just order some them. kenny
