Sand tires paddels for df-03 wheels 2.2

Recommended Posts

I'm soon going on a holiday were there is a real nice beach and i was thinking on maybe bringing an rc car. I'm going to use the 2.2 wheels for the df-03. My undérstanding is tha rear wheels Are 3.9cm wide and front one's Are 2.9 cm

So any suggestions what i should get? Will be used on 4wd so i guess i should have paddels at the front also.

As usual with Carson, quality is mediocre, which in this case means that the wheels are a bit brittle and the chrome easily flakes off. The tires themselves are however very good. They come pre-glued to the wheels and are a special dimension, so they can't just be mounted on DF-03 wheels. For my DT-02 Holiday Buggy, I cut the centre out of the original Carson wheels and pushed the remaining outer rim (with tires of course) over DT-02 wheels. The fit was so tight that no gluing was necessary. This can of course be done in a similar way for the DF-03.

Thanks for the tip. Could the center fit onto the Egress without having to Do something?

Looked into this a while back,

Found these :-

Didn't buy them in the end,so not sure how well they fit.

Thanks, but i think the will be to wide for the front wheels. Rear should be ok.

I did think that, couldn't find any fronts though.

Did wonder if I could find a suitable offset rear wheel to enable run on the front too.

Check out RC4WD tires. Great quality and some interesting options, particularly for 2.2 sand. Not sure about the width though.

Thanks for the tip njmlondon,

The rear tires look really good, but for front tires i want something with a grip, since it's a 4WD car I'm gonna use em on.

I have made an order for the tires Mokei Kagaku, suggested. I only hope that I can use the wheels also on my Egress..
