  1. I think I know the shop you are looking at Dazibao as I was in there during the week. They have quite a collection of vintage kits for sale. I don't recall seeing the 959 but there were some early Tamiya pan cars and original Frog, Brat etc as per your pic. You comment on pricing being similar to a re re SS I doubt from what I saw, you would need to dig deeper than that going by the other kit prices. All the best in trying to acquire these though, as you mention the store is a legit seller and been around for years.
  2. I'm a bit the same here, Stella emailed me and quoted 155ea as they were coming in later in the (this) week. I thought great jumped on the website to look for another kit to put in the box and saw them at 255. Not sure what was up there and have not followed up again. Stella seem to have a distinct lack of stock across the board for some reason, fancied an optima but no stock, no brushless combo's or servo's etc. Currently I'm sitting on a 1k basket with rcmart, bigwig, optima, HW 13.5 & 8.5 and some decent servo's. Surely they must know they're missing the boat a bit due to this.
  3. Shipping seems to be the killer to OZ atm. This wasn't the case several years ago, anyway t's a must have so I think take it on the chin.
  4. That's a good idea. I checked my kit box out after first commenting here and noticed it came with a 3 step mech speed controller. This thing must be older than I think. This is my favourite car, no slippery crutches or ball diff's to worry about. Just run it.
  5. When I bought mine new years ago I got a Tamiya RZ and a No Limits esc. Was pretty good from memory, now I run it with brushless. I also got the alloy prop shaft and front uni's though I had to go back to the original prop shaft recently as it has splines and the alloy shaft just had a flat landing on the shaft and this was spinning in bevel gear.
  6. Where are those in OZ getting their kits from? I emailed rc mart at the start of December to see if they would be getting these in and they said yes and keep an eye out on their site. I don't see the bigwig on rcmart or stella. I called stanbridges in perth and they had never heard of a 'bigwig'. They're are going to call the OZ distributer and get back to me. Just curious to know where people are getting their kits from atm. Cheers.
  7. I have the following cars for sale, DF-03 Keen Hawk, has been used but is in good clean condition. Has a slipper clutch fitted and I have the box in good condition. $125.00 AUD. C11 re-re, has a TRF shock, used once (15mins max) so has some scratches underneath from the local sports court. I have the box for this also, in good condition. $125.00 AUD. TB-01 Focus Rally. Has some scratches underneath from running but is in good clean condition. Has front uni's fitted and an alloy prop shaft and alloy bevel gears on shaft also. I have the original un-used motor and 3 speed mech control. The body has been re-stickered about 90%, the remaining stickers are in the kit box plus another full set of stickers. This was bought from the "lhs" several years ago for 360.00 aud (choke) and all the extra's. I have ~ 500.00 aud in this model. Sell $150.00 AUD. TA-03RS 037 Rally, The car has been built but never run. The body has not been painted or worked on. I bought this several years ago from the "lhs" for $340.00 aud, I would consider selling it but you would need to make me a decent offer. RZ Motor, fairly well used but kept clean and the bearings oiled reguarly, prob need commutator cut (never done by me) $15.00 AUD Tamiya Wheels (x4 = set), These have a white 5 slot that screw's into a chrome wheel. Not sure what part No these are but they're wide at the back and standard at the front, have street style rubber, used for 5 mins so no scratches and like new. They fit the TB-01 nicely and fill out the guards. $25.00 AUD Charger - Ansmann ACS 67P+, 240V and 12v plugs, tamiya battery connector, I think I have 2 of these. $20.00 Almost all of the above was purchased at the LHS and the boxes have the retail price stickers to prove I paid for the privilege. If you think the prices are too out there let me know. I'm not an avid online seller so have never posted or sold anything previoiusly. Preference is a Perth pick up. PM me as I have pictures available for all the above. Don't think I can post em here.
  8. Hi all, I received a turnigy accucel 8150 charger and there is no balance leads in the box. What balance lead set is correct for 2S batteries (turnigy brand) Is the AB-747004 set on HK suitable or something else? I've read up on the net that it's a bit of a bodge to get the balance leads hooked up for 2S on these chargers as the smallest factory port is for a 3S battery. Cheers!
  9. I'm not too far off your predicament there, I bought an 037 maybe 7 years ago from the LHS for ~360 au dollars. Built the chassis, bought all the paints (still in a bag somewhere) and some Tamiya 5 spoke wide wheels. I'll never paint it for fear of stuffing it up, so now it sit's in the box going nowhere. I don't need to sell it but I'm sure it will never get finished off by me. There's a lot of work in the body and prob that's the most challenging part of the build for most so that makes for some appeal I suppose. I could not guess as to a price but do wish Tamiya would release finished bodies for some of their rally cars.
  10. Works for me! Looks good, makes me want to pull my TB-01 out for a blast. I think "shakey" on the camera needs a little practice though.
  11. Thanks for the pointers, I noticed in the showrooms an earlier C11 which has the TRF shock as being from an F103GT? This had a number of hop-ups on it but no part No's. Would the F103GT shock and motor mount fit the re-re C11? TA-Mark - I checked the F40 Manual today thou only looked at the last page for hop-ups, they are actually in the middle of the manual on rechecking and are just pinions & bearings. It seems most genuine options are discontinued thou the re-re's were still produced. Cheer's.

  13. Does anyone know if there are hop ups available for the re-re C11? I am sure there is but cannot find any on Tamiya USA or anywhere else for that matter. I am after TRF Shock, Alloy Motor Mount etc. The manuals available on this sit do not show much for the Grp. C Family. Cheers.
