  1. I'm going to buy the Team Arai body for my XV-01. Anyone knows what rims should I buy to it? Or how can i find this out? Can't find this info anywhere in the manual or on tamiyausa.com.
  2. I'm using anti wear grease on my tt-02b never had a problem with dirt in the gearbox. I think the manual says aw grease should be used to seal it. Here's an image after some bashing a muddy day. It was almost as much mud inside as on the outside. https://goo.gl/photos/WiTnepP2k1sLZFrf9 After math of this session was two bent aluminium a-arms and a cracked rear shock tower.
  3. Mounted the sway bars but I don't understand how they are supposed to work. Isn't the meaning with a anti sway bar to bring the inner wheel up when cornering to counter the roll? If I pop off the dampers this works but with the dampers on I can not see any effect whatsoever on the left wheel if I bring up the right wheel. Also when you lock them with the grub screws as in the instructions then the effect will be even less? I guess this is for tuning when the sway bar should have any effect? Any input would be much appreciated.
  4. Oooh, that impreza is supernice! Finished the build on Saturday. This car is really fun to drive!! I'm so glad I went with the xv-01 instead of TT-02. Had a hobbyking 4600kv system laying around that went on after the first test drive. Included motor was quite dull. Ordered the sway bar kit and slipper clutch that will go on in the next couple of days. The Delta stickers really required tons of patience really glad I decided to finish the body before I started to build the chassis. Turned out quite ok exept around the wheels https://goo.gl/photos/hpsAafvDhRBmchup7 What's up with the screws in this kit? I'm using a Wera ph2 driver, but have destroyed a couple already. Hex screws is definitely on the upgrade list. Started preparing a little course for it in my back yard https://goo.gl/photos/aNXH7LXphPPuweby6
  5. Finally a XV-01 Lancia Delta Integrale is on order from tamico.de. Really looking forwards to this build (except for the decals). Didn't order any hopups yet but I'm sure it won't take long
  6. Thanks for all the answers! You have got me pretty settled on the XV-01. I was looking a little at what hopups there is and found the anti roll bars. Anyone using these?
  7. That to, anyone know if they come with built-in hex and philips tips?
  8. My fingers are itching and I really need to order a new set soon. I have almost decided that the next build will be a rally car with the Lancia Delta body. So if I'm going with kits there seems to be the TT-02 and the XV-01 to choose between. I know the XV-01 is the better of these two and that the TT-02 will need bearings and dampers as a minimum of upgrades. My third choice is to order the TT-02 type s chassis and the Lancia body, wheels an tires separately. This will be slightly more expensive than the XV-01 kit. Though are there any upgrades the XV-01 needs as a minimum? How does it hold up to brushless? Does standard lipo batteries fit in the XV-01? The car will mainly be used for bashing around my back yard and the streets in my neighborhood so it won't be a shelf queen. I already have two TT-02b and one TT-02t which I guess is in favor for going for the TT-02 Lancia or the type-s + Lancia body and wheels. At the same time it would be nice to try another chassis. Finally I found (or rather refound) the CC-01 Pajero Rally...argh so many choices, maybe I should just order them all Please give me your thoughts and opinions and maybe I can hit the order button soon
  9. He he, just read my last post again. The first sentence could quite easily be misinterpreted. What I ment to say was. Painting the body for daughters tt-02t @XV pilot Thanks we'll see how it turns out. I'm a bit afraid a brushless motor and those wheels are going to rip the poor tt-02 chassis in two.
  10. Got the wheels a couple of days ago but been busy painting my daughters body. My first paint job with different colors and see through windows. Unfortunately the masking tape leaked a little bit. Anyway this is kind of how it will look https://goo.gl/photos/yugYZSYhYf36MSvS9 https://goo.gl/photos/tFoLZQbYWZxkrghDA Ground clearance is about 4,5 cm Though I still haven't found a good solution to mount the body mounts. Will probably have print something. The traxxas shocks is only used since I had them laying around after mounting 1/8 ofna shocks to my emaxx.
  11. The sandshaker body could be bought from tamico.de. Though i haven't ordered it yet since I already have a TT-02t that I built for my daughter last week. The orignal plastic diffs will definately not work in this setup since they hardly work in the original with a little more powerful motor. My plan is to use the df-02 diffs as I am in my tt-02b. The traxxas dampers will actually work really good I think. Just test fitted them and it seems that the chassis will hit the ground just before the dampers bottom out with a little larger wheels. The duratrax six pack wheels are around 100 mm and tt02t wheels I have on now is around 90 mm. Though it seems like the body will need to be mounted pretty high to give enough clearance for the wheels. Here it is with rear shock towers mounted and traxxas emaxx big bore shocks. https://goo.gl/photos/5Qfv8d975eyYi1Hu9 Fitted the body mounts to the shock towers with cable ties. https://goo.gl/photos/aNTCr4vKBEg4tRHq8 https://goo.gl/photos/KxvLENZZBHCcpEwx7 I think the body gets too high up but well see how it looks when I get my wheels.
  12. Hi! Have anybody fitted a sandshaker body or any other truck body on the TT-02b. I just finished building a TT-02t for my daughter. During the build I started thinking if it would be possible to create a TT-02MT (monster truck). My thought was to use two TT-02b rear damper towers some traxxas big bore shocks I have laying around 2.8" Duratrax monster truck wheels and finally fitting a Sandshaker body on it. I need to find out a way to fit the bodymounts. Have anybody done this, or if anyone has any ideas on how this could be done please post. Maybe, maybe.... it would be possible to fit the TT-02t shock towers to the wing mount of the tt02b towers. Need to test during the weekend. Anyway, all thoughts and ideas are most welcome
  13. Exactly my thoughts when I chose to not use them. Will try the superglue method and see how it works. Thanks!
  14. I'm having problems with the screws for the rear damper holder backing out. When I was out driving the car today I had to tighten them 3 or 4 times during the 20 minutes I was out. I'm running the eagle model graphite damper holder. This probably puts a lot more stress on the three little poor screws since its a lot stiffer than the original. Anyone else has this problem? And most important does anyone have a solution? Super glue? I have already stripped the threads on one diff housing. I first thought it was because I first used the original screws with the original damper holder and then changed to machine threaded screws when I got the graphite damper holder. With my new housing I've only used the self tapping screws. Maybe should have used the machine threaded ones.
