  1. I don't have a Firebird, but I have a Camaro and a couple of Mustangs though.
  2. Sorry this is not answering your question. But your username, do you like their music?
  3. The painter is dufasdave from the AMCC forum, right?
  4. That's in pretty good condition and should come up a treat. I bought 3 of them years ago, plus a new chassis, rollcage, driver, bodyset, decals, wheels, tyres etc etc and still haven't touched them. I bought them well before the price of the things went sky high though, which was good. Have fun.
  5. Yeah thing is though the patent has expired for the Super Hornet. The term was only for 14 years (probably maximum for the US), it is 10 years in Australia.
  6. All this discussion and protesting is all good people. Remember that if you sit back and say nothing at all, then there is no chance of anything happening. You just don't sit back and take it and say "Oh well, that's the way it is then" If you are dissatisfied, then stand up and let it be known. If Tamiya does look at this site, then maybe they might do something that will make us happy and sort out the situation. If we don't have a voice, we don't get heard.
  7. Yes but what if you get multiple negatives from multiple transactions with the same dishonest buyer. I sold 2 items (2 separate actions) to the same buyer. He tried to claim that 1 item was damaged, lodged a claim, provided no proof of damage, even after saying he would send photos. Then he waited until the day before the date that I should have recieved the returned item, closed the case, left 2 negatives and that was that. Ebay did NOTHING, Paypal did NOTHING. Put me through the ringer, sided with the fraudulent buyer, I got 2 negatives, ruined feedback and he was only claiming 1 item was damaged remember, but was allowed to leave 2 negs. Here's the kicker. 1 month later, the buyer was selling the supposed damaged item on Ebay, and you guessed it, NO DAMAGE whatsoever. Ebay sucks and provides an excellent platform for rorts that offers next to zip protection for sellers.
  8. It's 1/6th scale. I have 2 of them, one silver one blue. Not a good performer either, but cool anyway.
  9. You are on the right track Simondo. I posted Australian copyright, design and IP law here, post #74 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...60&start=60 In the pink text is the important areas that are relevant to the situation. Copyright is lost if the item is used industrially, meaning if it is made into a product to be sold. If the Tamiya name is not used directly for advertising and the Tamiya name and logo are not used on the item, then there is nothing they can do about it. Tamiya are just trying to throw their weight around and if I was producing compatible items, even in original design, I would continue, but without the Tamiya name or logo. Also, Tamiya have no other names or logo's registered in Australia in any capacity, besides the Tamiya name and 2 star logo. They don't own Sand Scorcher, Avante, Monster Beetle etc.
  10. Tamiya have Facebook pages that they regularly update, we could lodge our protests there as well. They have twitter too.
  11. Tamiya can't touch the name of this site, Tamiyaclub, as it is one word. As I said before, Tamiya has no rights to the designs or model names, just the Tamiya name and 2 star logo. So if anyone wanted to continue to produce the decals with Tamiya and the 2 star logo omitted, there is nothing Tamiya can do about it.
  12. My collection consists of a lot of different brands of RC and I found it funny that in the 10 most viewed RC in my showroom, that there was only 1 Tamiya model ( I do have a number of Tamiya models). The most viewed is a Nikko. I thought it would be interesting to see what others 10 most viewed are, especially if you have a variety of makers. 1: Nikko Wild Pony 2: Shinsei Mountain Man 3: Nikko Turbo Pursuit Ford Escort 4: Richmans Inc 1989 Batmobile 5: Nikko Hilux 6: Nikko Bison JR Turbo Panther 7: Big lot haul (bulk RC purchase) 8: Parma Hemi Vette 9: Tamiya Audi Quattro Rally 10: LaTrax LTX-40 Corvette
  13. There is a way around it. Omit the Tamiya logo and Tamiya name on the decal sheets for a start. Then when you advertise them for sale do not use the name Tamiya at all. The intellectual property on the decal designs and other names (Hornet Wild Willy etc) are not Tamiya's anymore. The only rights Tamiya has is with the word Tamiya and the 2 star logo. Hope this helps.
