No, but it sounds interesting, what tme period? early 80`s? i do remember in about 86-85 lookinbg at mags and seeing very basic 2wd nitro stuff advertised, that looked very chunky... always in awe of that stuff at the time... but never saw one run...probably be total **** now...but when i had my hornet they seemed unattainable and fascinating...
  3. I'd say around the £300 pounds mark ( uk sterling), maybe more for an all original car with black bumper...
  4. Hi, You'd be better off trying to find some sort of NIkko forum, not many people here are fans of that make... good effort trying to modify it but I would recommend you get a real buggy kit, the engineering is much better than NIKKO "toys" and the potential for modifications is much higher.. Jack
  5. Hi Chris, I think I could stretch to £40 quid total cost but that is my ceiling...so i'll leave it up to you...if it is a goer email me direct to avoid boring the other lads... Jack
  6. Stuart, my bike is still out of action, any chance of lift up to EB? I have my own tent and camping gear. I live in Putney, west London, so not sure if that might be too far out of your way...if it is, is there anyone going through WEST LONDON WHO CAN GIVE ME A LIFT?
  7. Modified the steering to direct link, working incredibly better.. but might still benefit from a high torque servo and hight torque servo saver... still MUCH better, will soon install revo oil shock and full bearings.... Pics will eb in the show room, cant work out how to do it here....
  8. Hi, I received the catalog today!! Thank you very much, it is in new condition, very pleased with it!! I'll make sure i odetr something from you guys in the near future..perhaps the re-release Frog?? do you have any idea on projected cost yet? Thanks Jack
  9. Call me a cinic but i fear those rear dampers were redisgned in order to use as many currently produced parts as possible rather than for altruistic reasons... i do think they must have modified the box somehow...they just would not get away with it these days...
  10. Well i ran it yesterday and it was fun but there is a most definite need for improvements... I already changed the steering a bit to 3 spring set up and changed the radio gear but it really was quite slow and the steering was applaing on anyhting but smooth ground... needs a direct(ish) connection and a servo with metal gears to stand the battering that the front wheel seems to transmit..
  11. Withat the risk of offending loads of you.....why on earth would tamiya want to re-release Manta Ray & thunder shot and Top Force?? obviously I'm missing something but i did not hinbk any of these models were sought after or desirable...
  12. Hi, I would like the 1987 Guide Book, can I pay you via Paypal? I use to have a BIgwig so this would be great to get hold of!! Jack
  13. Have to say it does look pretty cool, I'd be seriously tempted and if £999 includes the radio it might not look so unfavourably compared to the Marder...
  14. Hi, Seen these around before but too basic to spark an interest for me, prefer cage buggies and stuff like ealry Kyoshos... Nice bit of history though,,, wonder what RC system they were using in 1972? J
