Serpent vs TRG

Recommended Posts

Sorry men, I think my F1 bug has spread to a serious infection.

I am currently looking at Serpent F110 and TRG F114W and see if any TC members have any thoughts on which model to get.

Both are priced very close to each other with Serpent requiring less item to make it run.

TGR has a cool disign for chassis twist, but too many pre-drilled screw holes at the main chassis.

Serpent's upper deck is not linked to the servo, which I think the chasis will not be as stiff.

to finish either of the models will need motor, servo, ESC, receiver, body, wheels and tyres and for TGR add front and rear wings, not sure if diff is included. I just realized Serpent is a almost a complete kit of Serpent brand vs TGR is a replacment chassis parts for other models such as Tamiya hence the diff is not included.

BTW these two models can be seen on rcmart. (since like I am the spoke person for rcmart lately. )

I am leaning towards Serpent and would like to hear your opinions or other considerations.

I looked at Kyosho, Yakoma, Speed Passion up graded chassis replacments, not too keen of their m odels.

Thanks.

In reply to my own forum, i decided to go for the Serpent as is it a kit not a upgrade like TRG. Although TRG has a nice twist to body flex, but just too much parts to complete. I think both are very good F1 models, but Serpent has the brand and slightly easier on the wallet. Just my 2 cents worth. now i will go back to my cage.
