You Think Trf501x Eccentric Belt Tensioner Is Necessary?

Recommended Posts

This time, I am gonna change center, front & real pully and 369mm belt.

Do I have to also buy TRF501x eccentric belt tensioner ?

I am hesitating when i see my purse.

No, use the diff notches for tension, unless the E.B.T. is recommended for that set up.

I am still running the same 2 belts and I just adjust it.

I stay with the 363mm belts since my track is short with big jumps, I have no need for the WCE set up.

hope I helped some..

Wow! You are just using 363 belts with new 18t center & 37t ball diff pully?

Interesting!

Could you tell me how to install diff notches( part K1 ) ?

(I think it's not easy to explain ^^)

By eccentric belt tensioner do you mean the optional adjustable blue metal parts that the ball-bearings sit on?

If that is the part you need then yes, you do have to buy it because when you put the bigger 18t layshaft pulleys on, the standard belt tensioners become too tight.

You can read about the conversion here:

I do not have the bigger pulleys or 18T centers, all stock...

The stock set up is perfect for my track. If I raced at a bigger track I would consider the 'Big belt conversion'..

For the diff notches:

Well, it is easy. Just pop the diff out, feel the tension while looking at the triangle markings on the notches and adjust accordingly. The 369 belt should have a set-up tip that comes with it.

You must have both sides pointing the same direction (triangle marks), very important.
