I'm an Aussie (Brisbane based) but am yet to venture into the world of rc trucks. Whereabouts in the great land down under are you located?

Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong.

Hi p-47, I'm from Brisbane. Welcome, it's a great source for all things Tamiya here, and other stuff too. I don't a have a hauler, just pulled up to say g'day. I'm sure someone will help soon though.

Cheers, Rick. :)

Hi Patrick..

Walter hobbies is pretty cheap for the King Hauler.. http://www.walterrchobby.com.au/index.php/tamiya-56301-1-14th-rc-tractor-truck-king-hauler-car-kit.html

OR the black version.. http://www.walterrchobby.com.au/index.php/tamiya-56336-1-14th-rc-tractor-truck-king-hauler-car-kit-black-edition.html

They are a bit more expensive from Walters on eBay, but it may give you an idea of their postage charges.. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TAMIYA-56301-1-14th-RC-Tractor-Truck-King-Hauler-Car-Kit-/121649169877?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item1c52db05d5

Other than that you have RCMart, Stella Models (a Tamiyaclub sponsor) and Banzai, but I expect that postage will be $100USD or more....

**off topic** Super, a fellow Brisbanite. Have you been up to the Boondall track yet? A group of guys meet there every two weeks on a Saturday morning.

Matman, there is only one problem with these trucks, its VERY hard to stop at just one..

But they are a great build, and I would recommend one to everyone..

The MFC-01 was designed for the American style trucks like the King Hauler, Globe Liner etc..

The MFC-03 was designed for the European trucks like the Scania and MAN..

The MFC-03 does have a few extra features that the MFC-01 does not have, and some people have installed them in the American style trucks, and they sound just fine..http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/56523/mfc-03.pdf

I have seen them at ace ,didnt check the price. I keep stirring alan at perth rc to do tamiya again but heis a tough nut to crack lol <<<< Well he's not small , you may need a bigger hammer  . " Also , he's a good Mate .

Ace is cheaper !! & i am on the list at ace to get a grand haluer WOOHOO!! .

Al won't ! as it's toy traders " is " the problem . Perth RC took futaba off toy traders ( bad blood now ) &

Also tryed to get Tamiya , but that is locked to toy traders :( . Even that toy traders is not helping Tamiya

too well in Aus sadly .

toy traders are a real problem , i order most of my tamiya gear through scott at ace but they wont tell him if its still in stock or even production and wont even give an eta for anything.

i prefer to buy local but sometimes its just easier to buy from hk , least you get an eta...

Hey guys, yeah I'm also still the same age hahaha.

Something for everyone to keep in mind, if you're looking for Tamiya Stuff, my LHS has just started getting a bit of Tamiya gear into stock, pretty good prices too, especially based on the current exchange rate. I'll be looking at getting a MAN truck to go with my Aeromax before too much longer I'd reckon. Website isn't showing any Tamiya stuff yet, but get in contact with Scotty for pricing, and he will be able to help you out. I think His plan is to become an almost Tamiya Specialist Store. Check him out here, and tell him Nuskers (Me) sent ya

They can't tell you ETA 'cos they don't know themselves... LHS sends thru order only when they've got enough to be worth making an order. If there's none in warehouse TT puts thru an order to Japan only when there's enough to fill a comtainer, etc etc... so you could be waiting 2 weeks, 2 months or indefinitely until they cancel the backorder.
