Scored a Rtr 5.9 HPI savage on ebay for less than £90! Result!!

Well, now the seller has said it's too cheap and not selling it for that, well, unless I forward some more cash, like another £210! Urm nope.

Guessing I cannot MAKE someone sell me it for the price it made at auction?

Report to ebay !! Simple as. You won the auction, if the seller was stupid enough not to set a reserve tuff luck for them. Let ebay know about them wanting more cash for it etc too.

They are new to ebay so have emailed back with 2 options,

Send it me,as I have bought it fair and square,(although I haven't actually paid yet,as they wanted extra money straight after the auction ended)

or

Cancel the listing, it got broken after sale or whatever, and then they can re list with a reserve.

I would have thought a cancellation request would have appeared in my inbox within minutes, but nothing but, come to an arrangement emails!

Defintely!

eBay can check the communication between seller and buyer anytime, so you got the system working for you all the way.

Was it auction or Buy it now?

:)

It was an auction.

Going to give ebay a phone (emails always take ages and got me no where when global shipping binned an item) and get their take on it.

AND, if the seller does back out of the sale, don't forget to leave Negative feedback as well so others don't get caught buying from them..

I would also refuse to mutually cancel the auction so they get hit with any fees for that as well..

..

Trouble is,won't they just return the negative feedback?

With them being new to ebay, they will just open another account,I have 8yrs worth of 100% positive feedback!!

Had a reply back from the seller saying it's going to take 30 days to cancel a listing.Starting to smell something...

You can't give negative to a paying buyer I think.

Whatever you do, keep in mind there's another human being at the other end of the line. I wish you good luck in getting everything sorted out.

Obsolutely, that is the reason I said for the option for them to cancel the listing, and the reason I have not sent monies yet.

We have all made mistakes, some more costly than others! So not trying to hinder the seller.

I have never canceled a listing myself, but,a seller in the US has done in the past, and did it straight away.

A seller can only cancel a sale with the buyers consent I believe and the buyer has up to 10 days to confirm this.

This way the seller does not pay fees and the buyer is not at fault for with holding payment, the sale is cancelled by mutual agreement.

A seller can not leave negative feedback for a buyer anymore, this was changed a few years ago, only sellers can receive negative feedback.

Had an email back off the seller to say they cannot cancel until 30 days has elapsed!

I would have thought by then, they could open a case against me,as I still haven't paid?

The whole thing should be sorted very swiftly if both sides co-operate . Ebay are very quick to sort this kind of thing . I had a listing on eBay and I made a deal for the item with a member on here but before I had removed the listing from eBay someone hit buy it now ,so I contacted the buyer - was honest about it and cancelled the eBay sale as 'couldn't fulfil the order' the buyer was cool about it - it was my mistake but all ended well and good feedback was left on both sides , there doesn't need to be war if everyone is grown up about it - you are - and the other party needs to man up and know how it works

30 days is definetly wrong.

It can be done in minutes if both sides are in agreement.

It's a link generated by the seller which is sent to you and if you are in agreement the sale is null and void.

No problem for either party.

If it persists ring eBay, I find the quite useful from time to time when I want help or clarification on some nupptes action/inaction : )
