  1. Interesting colour for a polycarbonate body. PS Coral Blue new too?
  2. Been a while since I’ve done anything RC related, never mind build a kit. Dropped Fusion an email to see what they had in stock on Tuesday, Wednesday morning a brow box with a Super Avante arrived so far just bag A done, held up at the motor, I need to pick between a Super Stock BZ and taking a 10.5t brushless out of a rarely runner. Build has been go so far, nice to see the hex screws and ball bearings.
  3. TA08 bits I was tempted in to buying Now just waiting on the delivery of time to build it…
  4. Ha! I wouldn’t worry, I was getting similar lap counts with TT02s vs TA07 so unless I’ve had an upgrade I’d doubt this TA08 would change much I’d love to get back doing some postal racing, just time and locations are not aligning at the moment. 3s in an M chassis, that sounds like a challenge in itself!
  5. Got my TA08 I think it’ll be a stock build. I haven’t found any hop-ups required for something that only makes it as far as postal racing?
  6. Was this prodigious coats of PS-6, backed by white? I never have the greatest luck with that colour, but this looks marvellous.
  7. Waiting on a shifting servo, so made some progress on the Ryft body. Some tidying and sticker in to do on the panels, but I’m liking it so far The netting is 3D printed from Thingiverse, still assessing whether black is the right colour
  8. Some wheels for the Ryft, some dampers from eBay (from a TC member I think) A chunky Lipo, here getting a fit check
  9. More Ryft building, including this rather large spur gear:
  10. D20 is the ESC mounting plate. That would cover the shifting servo, so I've skipped that for now. D21 though we can do All attached and waiting for the links. Tonight went nice and smoothly again, save for the hiccup with the servo. The instructions so far have been clear, I've not found reason to misinterpret them or have to reassemble anything. Section E is the dampers, so a good point to stop for the evening. I'll need to gather up my soldering gear too, as once the esc can be mounted I can assess the cable lengths.
  11. This is wear our tale takes an unfortunate turn. The shifting servo. After using PowerHD micro servos on an SCX10 III and them not fitting ideally, plus having to source the servo saver mount, I thought I'd do the simpler thing of buying their recommended servo. Sure enough, in nicely, all lined up correctly. D19 parts ready, oh, hang on, I've not centred the servo. Sadly, this photo is the one I've provided in my return form on eBay. DOA servo, not a squeak from it. Tested in two receivers and in multiple ports. New one ordered, at the pace I'm building it hopefully shouldn't block anything.
  12. D17. Shifter arm. I chose to mount the upright first, then to the pin. Not sure if this was best, as it was fiddly to get the mount on.
  13. D16 - time to cover up that rude spur
