tr-15t uni joints into a blitzer?

Recommended Posts

just had a thought , would the 15t unis fit a blitzer? im already having driveshaft issues half way through the first pack and I have the remains of a tr-15t sitting in a box with sweet looking unis

cheers for that i'll grab a set for sure. it currently has a set of rc damper cvds and both grub screws came loose and ground away at the knuckles , I did manage to find a set of top force unis for the same price as these ones also

That's weird. Here's my stock driveshafts in FrankenBeetle after countless LiPo packs with a 9t BL.

what the issue was/is the driveshafts is the grub screw that hold the cross pin in backed out and caused the cross pin to grind into the knuckle . I have stripped them both and loctited them so when I get a bit of time ill retest. my blitzer is running a castle 5700kv 4 pole setup , the next thing to sort out is traction....

No, they don't fit in the Blitzer nor in the Dyna Storm.

For the Blitzer Beetle you need the DF03 or similar CVD.

ToBee Craft should fit the DF-03 but they are bad made. In fact they are one or two millimeter longer than needed.
Probably they will push the diff joints when suspension are compressed so they will limit the suspension movement.

im having the same issues with the rc damper cvds, they seem a few mm too long , i think ill take her out for another rap and see what breaks , may end up using evo cvds at $24 shipped i cant go wrong.

max , what thoughts do you have on trying to run those tr-15t unis with matching arms and knuckles?

A typical reason for this is when the lower damper end is mounted to the top of the rear knuckles and not to the lower suspension arms. A rather common assembly error on the Blitzer series (and King Blackfoot) that causes premature driveshaft/outdrive wear.

TR-15T shafts have different wheel axle lenght and can fit only Astute, Madcap, Saint Dragon, Super Astute, King Cab, Hi-Lux Monster Racer, Dyna Storm and Dyna Blaster rear hubs. They also can fit Avante series knuckles.
But, in addition, the shaft is too long for almost all these models and, at the end, these universal joint shafts fit only two models: TR-15T and Dyna Blaster.

I know that ToBee Craft made a lot of these CVD, with normal offset, with +8 mm offset and with +16 mm offset.

No wonder if there are different production stocks with different lenght, maybe a correction of the first stock.

My ToBee limit thesuspension travel on my Wild Dagger and I did remove them.

Or maybe the touring cups make the difference. I will check about it.
