  1. Invitation to the first Trucking and scale 4WD event in Danville,VA , USA , Thanksgiving weekend Nov2009 Howdy guys , My name is Willy from www.CustomRCmodels.com there is a large indoor R/C tank-battle-field ( 6000 square feet ) at the AAF-Tank-Museum in Danville , VA , USA I am very active involved with these events , and we are starting a new R/C venue for trucks and scale 4x4’s . from the first time going there ( back in 2003 ) I always thought that would be also an awesome playground for our trucks. Right away I had to build my first tank-transporters and 6WD semi-trucks. Now after a few years I have several of our tanker-guys hooked on to our semi-tractors as well scale 4x4’s and crawlers as well the good old Tamiya collector cars . And since I been running my trucks during our tank-battle-events , We are finally doing our first trucking-event this coming Thanksgiving weekend . Yeah , I know , maybe not such a great choice as a date , But this was a quick decision we just made during our last battle-event this past weekend. This time Doug and myself run several of our 4x4’s and crawlers , Check out these photos and videos : 4wheeling in Danville Nov 2009 So now I am wondering who of you guys would be able to come to Danville , VA during this weekend of the 27,28,29 Nov 2009 ( Friday morning till Sunday afternoon ) we are planning to run the semi-tractors and any other vehicles , like scale 4WD’s , rock-crawlers and or the good old Tamiya collector cars like Bruisers and Blackfoots , anything within the 1/18 to 1/10 scale ( just to come up with a rough range of scale ) check out more the details I have posted here : all-wheel-drive and trucking events in Danville it gives you also several links with photos and videos to give you guys a better idea what this awesome indoor playground is all about . I am real excited about this , since it’s truly an awesome indoor setup . My buddy Doug Gasser from the Museum is working hard at the moment on some changes to the battlefield to make it even more trucker-friendly … Besides the field itself , we have also the option to setup besides the field . This Museum is huge and there is more when enough space to run our trucks and do off-the-field setups , like warehouses and such , like I been doing during our past battle-events . We want to start a few new R/C venues at this Museum , most likely it will be in future separated semi-truck and construction vehicles , scale 4WD’s and rock-crawler events , But since we don’t know yet the turn-around , We like to invite anybody with or without R/C vehicles to come this weekend and be part of the fun and action … So how about it ? Anybody up for this ? Willy CustomRCmodels

  3. more junk from ebay….ebay blacklist Over the years I have received quite a bit of junk via ebay , either damaged in transit because of a lousy packing job or that the item absolutely didn’t match the item description … My recent ebay experience got me cooking again ….. I start a ebay black-list in my Tamiya-section , so anybody knows about some "black sheep’s" , let me know …. Check out my recent ebay purchase and let me know what do you think about this… ( in case your are checking the ebay ID from the winning bidder , that was a friend of mine , he did the bidding for me , since I was traveling , but I paid for it and the seller shipped directly to me ) Willy CustomRCmodels
  4. WANTED ! WILD WILLY 2 CHROME Edition !
  5. anybody has a box from on original Clod Buster ( 58065 , NOT Super Clod Buster ) which he would part with ? if not a complied box , even just the lid would be fine ! Willy CustomRCmodels
  6. Hello Markus , I should have most of these parts , since I am doing my own 6WD trucks as well .. by the way , the photos of the rims you got of from my webpage .. which shows my customized rims with larger tires which I use on my semi's .. Willy www.CustomRCmodels.com
  7. Hello Badboy , if you use Tamiya's Alumium Wheel-Adapter # 53913 ( released for the 2005 Frog ) ,on the rear-axles of your MB , you can use any 2.2 inch truck rims which are out there with a 12 mm hex ..... ( as long they are not to thick , since you have about 7.5 mm thread left on the axle after installing that adapter ) Willy www.CustomRCmodels.com
  8. I know the Clod was released in 1987 and the first release had the Chevy bowtie on the grill and Chevrolet written on the tailgate , as well the manual showed the Chevy symbols .. Question is : When did Tamiya discontinue this …did that happen within 1987 or later ? Since I am reading ebay-actions for Clod Busters dated 1987 , but if you ask the seller , "No, that one doesn’t have it …" Since ebay is not an honest selling place anymore anyways , I am curious about to find out when exactly Tamiya stopped producing the Clod with the Chevy symbols…. thanks and Merry Christmas to everybody Willy www.CustomRCmodels.com
