Muddybaldboy 7 Posted May 21, 2015 Nice. Are they forecasting a resurgence in custom clod/txt's? I hope so! Nice body too.
Mad Ax 9329 Posted May 21, 2015 Are they forecasting a resurgence in custom clod/txt's? I'm wondering the same - maybe I've been looking in the wrong places but the Clod scene seems to have been very quite for a while. I hope it's coming alive again soon as I have plans to get mine up and running again this year. sweet-looking tyre, although IMO seems to lack a bit of presence compared to the stock Clod tyre, at least in those photos. IMO needs a more rounded sidewall.
B.M.T. 127 Posted May 21, 2015 There is actually a healthy solid axle monster truck racing scene in the US, just no one bothers to cover it. The couple of FB groups I am a member of are busy busy busy... Here is a video from one of the more recent races.

gravetxt-1 84 Posted May 21, 2015 Clod buster scene quiet? One word for you guys clodtalk.com Its my fave rc forum on the planet In fact I have four build threads on there. Clod scene is as busy as ever in my opinion you just need to know where to look
emory70 153 Posted May 22, 2015 I'm sure the body is a Pro Line also. Dig the shallow tread. No need to grind them down like a stock Clod tire for racing
B.M.T. 127 Posted May 22, 2015 Yeah, the body is Proline, been out for a good few years now. I've got many lol Here is a convenient two...

We had an almighty monster jam. Can't remember the year but no doubt Andy (twinset) will have a handle on that/stack of pics

B.M.T. 127 Posted May 23, 2015 ** off topic diversion** thats a shame, they look so good! Yeah, the Big Bear had the best looking tyres for small trucks. Nothing really fits it's rims though. Duratrax made a couple of different treads for it, back in the day, but nothing current is that size. You could adapt Lunchbox tyres and wheels to it to get it going, but they are no where as cool as the original rubber.

My current Big Bear build will be a runner too, but the lunchbox tires just don't look right on the big bear
