I just used PS gold because TS gold was not a correct match on the DTM merc for the rear wing. Painted it with PS and then to get it glossy hit it with TS clear. Looks great. I know the wing is ABS and not lexan but the PS paints tend to work well on lexan when a PS paint s used as a primer

I'm in the US and have used Buyee many times. As stated, shipping can be high. Sea Mail works but can take a couple months. Fedex arrives in usually three days. I just purchased an HPI TA02 front strut mount. The Fedex option will be about 30 bucks. I'll consolidate this item with other purchases so the total cost will come down. Japan is pretty much the end all for the hard-to-find kits and parts. Be warned that it can get messy if you purchase a used Nitro engine or car that has one. HIGHLY likely they will not ship the engine.

Just acquired a Toms Celica and want to add these to it when I build it. Do not need to be designed to work with LED's but could. I know they are out there somewhere as I see them from time to time. I use Buyee far to much. Be warned shipping will be high and you will run into issues with a nitro engine. even if you bid and win them, they will give you holy badword and tell you the engine must be removed before they will ship it.

Cleaning up some TGX wheels and need to get the old rubber off. What works w/o damaging the wheel?

Buyee is another service you can use. Fees are low but international shipping is what gets you. be warned that there can be trouble if your purchase has and glues or oils like a nib kit. Also nitro engines get them all up in arms and they may not ship it to you after you win the auction. I have had several TGX and TGR cars shipped to me with no issue and now there is a big issue with a Kyosho super Ten. They won't send it as the engine is listed as a prohibited item with the Japanese postal service/

Not sure what this plastic is made of but wow. Put it in straight acetone with the dye. No water added and still hardly any change in color. Parts get slightly soft meaning you can scrape the surface with a sharp object but certainly not dissolving like when my dad dropped a screwdriver in a bucket of the stuff as a kid. Tried straight MEK too with little effect.

I have found a few videos for ABS and harder plastics. One guy did yo-yos. I'll report back. Looks like he mixed Acetone with water 2:1 I'll try on some scrap and see how it goes.

Black. J parts usually refers to the specific parts that came with the TA02/03 FRP chassis sets. TA03 parts are very hard to come by as most have suffered cracking or damage and Tamiya has yet to re re-release them as they did for the 02

I guess these parts are ABS. Tried to take some of the shine off and make the surface able to accept dye by a soak in lacquer thinner. I tried a sample in MEK but that was too hot.
