  1. Totally paintable but yeah have to prime it first.
  2. There's these also, a little cheaper and still good quality http://www.rcmart.com/3racing-df0301v2lb-alum-front-rear-damper-tamiya-df03-p-20589.html?cPath=389_390
  3. Still looks sweet! I stuffed the paint job on mine, ended up having to paint the exterior... so my plan was to get another body & decals to make a shelf body & not worry about any damage if/when i run it.
  4. Yeah i picked up some aftermarket decals off ebay for mine & the Wild One aswell - they were terrible. Both are pretty much shelf dwellers so making them look like the originals would be nice.
  5. Where did you guys get those propper Supershot decals from?
  6. Mine turned out alright too - had to improvise a touch to fit my ESC in though & i rushed/was lazy with the decal application, screwing up a few. Build wise I dont like the way the front springs are loose - the bottom retainer doesnt keep them central over the shock, & the front wheels seem to have to have alot of toe-out, with the steering rods are barely screwed into the cup joints - these problems encountered by anyone else? These are my 'show-wheels' & the kit ones will be the 'go-wheels'... havent had a chance to run it yet! Havent finished the driver either.
  7. Indeed you can run bigger pinions, up to 24T (18, 20, 22 & 24 being the only options) - they come with instructions on what pinion & what mount holes to use to mesh up properly. I found they dont last very long though, they're pretty soft plastic compared to the black plastic tamiya gears - i did have a pretty worn pinion though which probably contributed!
  8. 23T pinion... with the standard gears? If so then thats probably the reason - largest pinion option being 20T.
  9. Ah yes yes i see (after lookin at FAV instructions lol)... and theres already an 1150 on the outer of the cup joint. So whats everyones plans motor wise?? Ill be putting in a Superstock TZ & Traxxas XL-5 (if i can make it fit), same as in my Supershot... should be more than enough i think. Dont plan to run it heaps so i figure brushed will be fine. Are there any other essential 'hop-ups' for this?
  10. Dang thats rediculous! I ended up getting 50 1150/850 (required for TA02T & M05) for USD10 off ebay... saved $100 & best of all - i got sent double!! Still got a few left to make up whats needed for the WO.
  11. lol surprised they didnt charge more - they still would have sold i reckon. $200AUD delivered for a Wild One isnt bad when you consider what LHS here charge - for example, I wont mention this particular stores name but they wanted $250 for a FAV... and their price for 1150 ball bearing? $1.80 EACH. Not a small hobby shop either.
  12. Seeing how its got the cup joint going through it, surely a ball bearing would be better for a moving part.
  13. 1150 x 10, 850 x 3.They havent included ball bearing for the gearbox.
  14. Each to their own - ill still gladly buy from them - they have a larger range than most & their prices are generally comparitive to Stella. I wouldnt go as far as saying theyre ripping people off - the bank fee is to cover paypal/cc fees (its stated in their FAQ), which is minimal - ive never minded. No argument that Stella is the best all-round though. Just realised ive no servo for this... to buy a new one or steal one from my Savage...
  15. Fair enough - Ive only bought smaller things from them, tyres & parts mainly & found them really good; though yeah postage is usually a few bucks more once the 'bank fee' is added.
