Original Avante, built, how much?!

Recommended Posts

That'd be enough to put me off bidding on anything

That and the fact it isn't worth a penny over £300 (IMO) :)

Brought one from the UK before the re-release shelf queen with a heap of extras ready to go with vintage transmitter .

Paid 400 pounds posted to Australia and it was an open auction with bidders not a Buy It Now.

They are out there just be patient and look regulary .

I agree with the above statements.

Stuart.

Yip, no surprises there. I sincerely hope the current high bidder retracts his bid after realising at he has been played.

He hasn't been played, he bid an amount he thought was reasonable.

Now the suspect bids have been removed it reflects the price the other two bidders are willing to pay

Bidder 3***A was prepared to pay £475, f***_ is prepared to pay more (at least £485)

I guess £485 isn't a bad price for the buyer, considering the price of re-re's now (£400+)

The seller will be disappointed he didn't get £1000 plus though!!

Well the other bidder (3***A) has retracted 8 bids in the last 6 months so I am not too sure he/she was a genuine bidder.

If you're looking at stats, look at them all

Yes, 3***A has had 8 bid retractions in 6 months

They have also bid on 16 different sellers' auctions in the last week and 22 different items in the last 30 days

Of their bid activity in the last 30 days, only 7% has been with the seller of the Avante

http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=252119883699&showauto=true

F***_ bid their £485 before 3***A started bidding, so they were prepared to pay at least £485 before anyone else got involved

Even if 3***A was bumping they had no bid retractions on this item and F***_ was prepared to pay more than 3***A's maximum from the word go.

I'm not sure if seller-instigated bid cancellations count as retractions though (or show up differently) - it could just be the seller had suspicions about the two low-fb bidders and cancelled their bids on the item.

You are right, regardless of the retracted bids, this car would have still sold at the same final price. I hope you don't think I was having a go at you or anything but seeing the retracted bids automatically makes me suspicious.

No worries here chap - I got three retracted bids meself - one's from today as it was the only way I could find to see my own stats

(Bid, retract, logoff, check bid history of item whilst logged off)

I have no problem retracting my own bids; If something I'm bidding on comes up as a Buy It Now with another seller, I'll retract my bid on the auction so I'm not obliged to buy the item (even if I'm not the high bidder I'll opt-out, just in case other bidders' retractions leaves me as the high bidder)
