Anyone use these brushless motors?

Recommended Posts

I have noticed these motors too

I thought the same being a 540 motor it will have more torque then the 380 Ez Run but will lack the revs.

For the price I rather stick to the Hobby King Track Star motors which are awesome. :)

Have to look at those hobby king motors may be the same ones as I seen 2 names on the motors above and they looked to be the same.

hi , i think the one pictured above is also sold 'red anodised' as the turnigy waterproof sensorless motor and many others , they are good 'n' tough with oversize shafts and bearings ,

the other turnigy trackstar sensored motors ,for a mere £20 ,with machined cans are the way forward IMO , lighter, more adjustable, easier to repair, cooler running and still have the over sized shaft and bearings,

teamed up with a tamiya tble-02s(sensored only) and you have a really smooth and easy to use system, pair it with a hobbywing xerun v2.1 120a esc or similar and you have a very quick race system .

:)

Got the motor it's not like a castle or lrp but it is better than the 380 sized in a 540 can motor it has more magnetic pop when you roll the car and it will pull an instant wheelie in my dt02 with a 6 cell nimh so for the price I think they are good so far...also the bearing are much larger in this motor than in the ezrun 380 types also.

Just got done running a full 3000mah nimh pack through the new motor in low grass and dirt and the motor worked fine I hit 130 degrees with it so I guess it's ok for what I ran it though and it has good power and wheelies on command also.

There are dozens of versions of this motor, they are fine for just mucking about. I'm 90% sure they all come out of the same factory / factories in China. You can't load them up like a Castle or LRP, but then you probably don't want to either. I have 4 or 5 similar motors with 2 still running, but I DID try and load them up like a Castle!

Thanks for your review. :)

I use Carson Modelsport sensorless brushless motors (2500 kV and 3500 kV). Oh boy, they can take a beating, they don't get hot when putting them on excessive load, which is useful on cars where you have limited gearing options. E.g. TL-01, DT-01/02/03.
