Other then the chassis which can get pretty beat up even just running in the grass the rest of the car is pretty bulletproof. Buy a used gold chassis, use that for the build and for running. If you ever decided to sell rebuild with the mint 40 anni chassis, done. Preorder from AE .

If you look at the classic and the world's you won't lose money. My rec buy a beat up gold chassis and nose plate for cheap, use that for the build, run it, and when you get bored rebuild with the new chassis and sell.

Avante 2011 (58489) - I told you it was coming back!

You really need both! I have a rere Egress and my brother's OG Avante. They really are fun to drive and quite different. The rere Egress's stiffer and thicker servo arm eliminates some of the bump steer the og had, I don't use a servo saver anymore with new servos and that also improved the steering. -

I swear some parts like the gear box covers are different plastic. Not sure about the other plastics. I use to run the Black version brushless on a 1/8 dirt off-road track and didn't break it bend anything. -
Its close enough and they deserve to make money, IM in!

$100 US price increase after the last one was made 10 years ago is more then fair. I doubt there will be a cheaper Gold Pan, hopefully AE/Tiger is smartee then Tamiya and does a Graphite or Truck version next. A team car would be awesome!

"No one" is an exageration, there are far fewer people wanting another Avante release compared ot those who are clamoring for an Anvante 2001. OG Astute, 959/Celica, Kingcab/Hilux, Dyna Storm etc. Tamiy started the Rere Genre and now they are just mailing it in. Disapointing! -

Meh, it is good I guess for those of us that run their Avantes and haven't bought spares. 13 years ago (OMG!!!!) this was a huge deal. Now it's just Tamiya making stuff no one wants. We all know the list, but instead of bringing out one of the cars everyone wants they drop another Avante, thunder shot, Top Force, or TT02. Fail. -
It is a little pricey, BUT it's been ten years (holy cow) since the last one and the economy is a disaster compared to 10 years ago, price is in line with inflation. Is it a little lazy, maybe. Tons of people have wanted this and AE/Tiger listened. Price is in line for what a garbage vintage would cost and a NIB RC10 Classic from 10 years ago will cost you double. It's a win! AE/Tiger do need to step it up now, next one needs to be a T or Graphite. Then everyone will lose their minds. Meanwhile Tamiya keeps dropping things no one has asked for......

Thats amazing! Did the Astute and Egress make it into the Amain? Where did they finish? I swear race results in RCCaraction always reported just rc1Os, Yoko, and kyosho here and there. I never saw a Tamiya in the results or a mention. -
Oh the days before cab forward! Looks great!

The TD range just need front shock towers and nice bodies. Easy fixes for a big company. Alas it's Tamiya and they do embrace the weird.
