Anyone else having trouble lately with Jason RC

Recommended Posts

Ordered a set of stickers on Sept 30 through Ebay. It has now been 6 weeks with no sticker set. I did contact him a couple times and did hear back a couple weeks ago that I would see them soon but this seems a bit excessive.

Nothing new there then, he's never been the most reliable seller to be honest. You'll get the goods in the end but may wait several weeks (on top the 6 already!)

Ive used him in the past and while it to a bit longer than some other sellers from Japan it was not like this.

I never had problems with Jason RC but yesterday a box is arrived without a part inside.

I contacted them but no answer.

The last few things I bought from him came in on time, no problem. It did take some time for him to answer to my ebay messages though..

Yahh he never replies to messages communication is terrible. Ordered a set of Clod wheels this week on Tuesday he finally got round to posting them today (Saturday).

I can only assume most of his items are shadow stock hence long wait times for him to dispatch items.

Then again his prices are very good and he seems able to get hold of rare items TXT-1 wheels for instance.

A bit of communication would go a long way though...

With this seller, you either buy or don't buy from him. The latter is because he blocks you if he does not like your tone. There are more asian sellers now and Tamiya's re re are not helping him either. However, shipping within a week seems to be reasonable as most small time seller only ship once a week. One will have to decide if one still wants to gave ones hard earned after tax dollar to any business that does not have the right product, price and service.

He does, but he also blocks you if he makes a mistake and you ask him politely to fix it. In my case completely different parts than ordered one time and delivery to the wrong address another time. He's OK as long as he doesn't makes mistake, but once he does, forget about customer service. He just gets rude and behaves as if the customer made the mistake. Obviously, he often makes mistakes, so though the customers who haven't had the "pleasure" to experience his behaviour when he does mistakes, often think he's good, he's still terrible seller.

There are so many other better sources to buy from that behave correctly and have competitive prices. Getting "rare" and limited items is just as easy from many of them.

Probably have 30 orders with Jason and 29 of those have been perfect with very quick despatch and delivery. I had one order where I never had confirmation email , in the end I raised a paypal claim (which he also didn't respond to) and got my money back (never saw the goods in case you were wondering ! ).

I'll continue to buy from him, but only where his prices are favourable enough over other sellers, whether webstore or ebay.

Good to see someone speaking up for him based on 30 orders and not just one transaction that went wrong . Seems fairer to me

It only takes one tranaction to go wrong that he will no longer sell to you. This may work several years ago, but with so many web sellers/ competition, this type of business practice will lead to filling chapter 11 not because of product availability, bed debt, or over leveraged, but pure snobby attitute. With today quick access to info, words get out fast, so if business is still good stay on course, if not better see what is wrong and fix it.

Finally asked ebay to step in and resolve. 7 weeks is to long. If he blocks me he blocks me that but that would be some very poor customer service. Make the customer wait 7 weeks and then get mad at them when they don't receive their item <_<

That would be typical for Jason RC/JR-RC. If he makes a mistake, he first ignores it, then blames the customer. Standard procedure. Of my 3000+ eBay transactions since 1998, he's by far the most unpleasant and indecent person I've dealt with.

I'm still at a loss as to why people complain about sellers when eBay's feedback system is so pro-buyer now there's no need for anyone to buy from anyone without all the facts.

I've dealt with Jason for years, probably as long as I've known about eBay, and every transaction's been fine - nothing miraculous, nothing seriously amiss just unremarkable hassle-free service.

Looking at his feedback though, over a year, approximately 10% of his customers weren't happy - Would you bet on a 1 in 10 chance?

By buying from him, one would assume you've taken everything into consideration, weighed up the pros and cons and gone for it.

If it doesn't work out, leave negative feedback, get your money back, get blocked and move on - the feedback system now prevents buyers from receiving negatives, so there's no reason to believe it's anything but accurate nowadays - buyers leaving negatives needn't fear retalliatory negs.

This month, there's 1080 people with no issues so far, and 8 with problems - that's less than 1%

Sorry if this sounds a bit dismissive, but I'm at a loss to see why there's this need to discuss this based on one sale when his feedback tells everyone what they need to know already - if I lose a bet on a horse race (usually better than 1 in 10 chance) I don't go tell everyone how bad the horse was, it's there in the results

Um, is it my maths that's questionable or Andy's?

But 135 complaints out of 15,000 transactions, isn't that less than 1%?

You're right chap - the cold has numbed my maths by a factor of 10!

If I got it right this time, it's 0.89%

To me that is a reflection on who didn't get their mail !

You have to factor a number of international postal services into that equation too Yeah !

That's all well and good and I am not trashing Jason. By the numbers he looks to be doing very well. After 7 weeks and 3 emails to him with only one replied to that I will see an item soon and then not see it... I have purchased from him before with no issues. Granted I'm not the buyer that keeps his business afloat but this experience has been poor. I have yet to leave feedback BTW so hoping this can be resolved. Initially when I started this it was more about have other people been seeing delays more related to a small business where he may be on vacation on any other number of personal issues. I know none of you know me personally but I'm pretty slanted to the extending grace side of the scale.

The problem is not how many positives and how many negatives.
The problem is that if you have a problem, or he makes a mistake, he simply ignores the customer.
I always bought from Jason, many items, low prices and fast shipping.
But for the first time, last time, he made an error and he forgot one of the items I paid outside the package. Not a great problem, I can perfectly understand him, sometimes errors happen.
"The solution is easy, Jason, please make another package and send the missing part to me. I can also help you, Jason. I buy another part to justify the shipping cost you should pay for your error and I'll pay it for you."
But no answer from him, as usual. This is no a question of how many positive feedbacks in front of negatives one. This is a question of respect.

That is beauty or the beast side of social media, it gives the little guy or joe average a say in the matter, whether for restitution or just to cause problem. Your parent's generation or before that either write or call the complaint department or contact the local consumer and corporate affairs department, and normally nothing happens.

In the end, if the seller has the product and/or price , one would still buy from the seller, provided the seller has not block you.

Through competition or drop in the business, seller will have to change or look for another means to make a living. For consumers that are holding the money, there are always alternatives, and sellers that get you business should have the right product, price and service or at least one of these variables.

Forum of this nature should never be locked as the issues are legit and allows two sides to see the same issue from a different persective and make a decision based on all consideration.

Now this topic forum should be locked. :D
