  1. I used to fill the rear wing mounts with hot glue and drill them when they cooled down then just use longer screws with locking nuts
  2. Best Lunchbox action pic or best flying Tamiya pic (cars only aloud)
  3. Sounds like a good swap Ha Ha and is cheaper than divorce But I would get her a stadium blitzer or Mad bull both strong quick and easy to get parts for Pete
  4. There is a way which works but its 4 stage and takes a while, Sounds all wrong but it gets scratches out of both glass and plastic get some Vim or Cif powder and use that on it until the scratchs are reduced then use cream cleaner and just keep going until the look better next step is good old T-Cut until they look fairly perfect then use Brasso to finally polish them up sometimes on plastic its easier to use fine grade wet and dry before the 1st stage & saves a lot of time when I was a glazier we used this trick to save & restore rare or unusual pieces of glass Pete
  5. The drive shafts on monster beetle's click when the hex's on them wear (there only steel so damage easily)
  6. that's the one. the one you just cant put a money value on because it just means so much to you, If you want something for say 20 years then you finally get it could you ever put a $£ Value on it ? the TFE is just that to me it means to much to me to put that £$ value on it
  7. Hi Guys, just wondering, To me there is a lot of personal Value in my cars E.G. I've always wanted a Top Force Evolution but only just got hold of one in the worst condition I have ever seen But just the fact that its a Top Force Evo means the world to me and the fact that its mine is amazing, even if I never get to run the evo it makes me smile every time I look at it even though its a pile of parts waiting to be restored. So how do you get people to understand the real value of your cars ? (Not the cash value) Some guys on here like Shodog you can see love there collection and have a whole amazing respect for every small part that goes into every model they own, But with only having a few cars now when people say to me "what do you want that for ?" I'm lost as to how to answer. Pete
  8. Hi Guys got two Avante front alloy thingy's with buggy I bought but don't know what they are called are they usefull or a case of chuck them in the bin ? I do remember these used to break every 5 seconds when the avante's where new and also got some weird drive shafts with it that look to be from an AYK buggy maybe Viper ? weird things to get with a Blazing Star but would like to know more about them before I decide weather they go in the bin or on evil bay any help appreciated Pete
  9. As for the JS2 just look up the Matorro/wsn/trumpeter T 34 and see how good it looks (looks like the same tank)
  10. Control quality & sound are easy fix's, will get back to this this evening with a few more details on how to fix sort etc Heng long tanks & with details of battle systems etc, They are allot more tuneable than Tamiya tanks and there are allot more upgrades, just need to get some pics etc together.
  11. Taigen are heng long tanks which have been factory customized Basicly the full metal versions with a better chassis on some of the tigers etc, (Late tiger 1 has allot of upgrades out of the box and is basicly almost Tamiya spec in the running gear (torsion bar suspension, late metal wheels and tracks, metal cupola mesh rear grills etc) , but heng long do make allot of tanks inc Tiger 1, BB Firing with Smoke & Sound Panzer III F1 BB Firing with Smoke & Sound Panzer III F2 BB Firing with Smoke & Sound Panzer IV F1 BB Firing with Smoke & Sound Panzer IV F2 BB Firing with Smoke & Sound Stug III I/R Battle system Smoke & Sound Panther G, BB Firing with Smoke & Sound & I/R Battle system Smoke & Sound German Panther BB Firing with Smoke & Sound & I/R Battle system Smoke & Sound Jagdpanther BB Firing with Smoke & Sound & I/R Battle system Smoke & Sound KV 1 Russian BB Firing with Smoke & Sound & I/R Battle system Smoke & Sound Snow loepard (Perishing) BB Firing with Smoke & Sound Walker Bulldog BB Firing with Smoke & Sound King Tiger (Porsche turret version) BB Firing with Smoke & Sound & I/R Battle system Smoke & Sound Sherman (Welded Hull) BB Firing with Smoke & Sound + you've got the Matorro range with the Jagdtiger, sturm tiger, T34, and the list continue's not sure who's copying who now but there are allot of tanks to choose from and if you go to hooben they do a Ferdinand elefant (but that costs as much as a Tamiya kit costs) and if you go for any of them that are not heng long built just upgrade to the heng long electrics and add a Tamiya compatable battle system (about £30) and your ready to run
  12. brushless doesn't mean efficient just means fast LOL
  13. I agree with the Brushed and tube approach (its all in the fine tuning) anyone can make something fast but it takes tuning to make it efficient
  14. unless you want to pay out a fairly big chunk of cash don't even bother looking for a different transmitter, buy a std one for about £15 posted and buy a battery panel for about £2
