Futaba 3GR-FS (40MHz) manual?

Recommended Posts

Hi y'all,

So I got this 40 MHz Futaba 3GR-FS transmitter from Japan a while back...

Besides the frequencies being slightly off from what's allowed here (I can live with that 'cause I'm not running in official competition), I really underestimated the fact of making heads or tails from the Japanese manual.

The 2.4GHZ can be found but that isn't of much help.

I know quite a bit of them were sold in the UK, so I was wondering if anyone happens to have (a scan of) the English manual. Or possibly another source where to find it.

Any reply would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are a few hits on google about issues with receiver compatibility. One post on musk forum talks about the menu set up and different modes. Dunno if it helps you're issue but u couldn't find a 40mhz manual in my searches.

Maybe eBay search with notification of new listings will reveal something over time ??

Thanks for the reply, I searched the web a bit as well and got it to work on PPM mode with a Futaba R123RA receiver.

Even ordered some extra crystals (Kyoshos especially for Futaba) as to avoid interference.

Tried a few others (generic el cheapo ones) before that but they didn't work at all.

One thing I also miscalculated was that the high speed receiver that came with it needs a 6V feed.

That would mean I have to upgrade some of my electronics.

I think you're right about that last bit, seems I missed one for 99p a few months ago...

Sure I'm unaware of a lot of the details so a good reference (a readable manual) would be nice.

You could always email futaba support and ask, a manual at £15 is better than none , and if they send /email one for free even better. ;)
