  1. I hope this isn't too controversial as I know we all have different favourites & opinions but I was wondering whats everyone's personal biggest Tamiya RC Model kit let down & why? I will start mine was the Sand Scorcher. I wanted one for years & years but it was always out of my price range but eventually i saved enough for a brand new one. Its still one of my fav Tamiyas as in to look at but after id build it I was so disappointed by the handling & the way it always gets stuck in soft sand, despite sand been in its name. I figure its the weight & thin front wheels. Since a few uses its been sat on display as an expensive static model. I always look at it and think oh I wish you were as much fun to drive as you are to look at.
  2. The Clod sure has been around a long time I remember it was the model I used to dream of as a kid in the 80s whilst zooming my Tamiya Falcon around but there was no way I could have afforded one back then. Years later when I got my first job I worked to the bone cramming in the hours and the first Tamiya I saved up for was a Clod Buster. I still love Clods so much bouncy fun.
  3. Ive been using a Dewalt screwdriver for the past 3 years its amazing, I replaced my old Bosch iox Its the one on screwfix below and its always coming on special offer (Next Black Friday will prob be the next) My cousin bought the same screw driver a few months ago from Screwfix or Toolstation in thier monthly special at £99 DeWalt DCF601D2-GB 12V 2 x 2.0Ah Li-Ion XR Brushless Cordless Screwdriver https://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-dcf601d2-gb-12v-2-x-2-0ah-li-ion-xr-brushless-cordless-screwdriver/830hp Its a bit over kill just for Tamiyas but its that good I use it for everything now days. I cant recommend this screwdriver enough. PS: The varibile setting means no more overtightning of screws when doing models.
  4. Thats the one, Thank you, this old brain isn't as quick as it used to be. 😂
  5. Hi everyone, im having a clear-out & I found an okd Tamiya in a box in my loft, I bought it off a mate for a project that never hapoened years ago & he had hardly ever used it, I dont think i used it either! Ive tried to find it online and failed. What Tamiya model is this?
  6. Get my Clodbuster up and running ready for the snow.
  7. Hi fellow RC peeps Ive treated myself to a BBX & didnt realise it didnt cone with a motor, I really should read up more. 😂 Anyway i was wondering what motor peeps are putting in, I have a few motors in my spare box from silver cans, Sport tuned, torque tuned & up to Brushless 3900 but I just dont know which motor to put in the BBX. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated as ive just finished building the kit minus a motor.
  8. Really took my time on this build… Finally finished today.
  9. Hi Everyone I bought a Konghead 6x6 but its far too slow in stock. Whats a good brushed motor upgrade for this? Oh and would I need to change pinion? I watched a vid with a Superstock upgrade which looks punchier but wanted to check what you all thing is better before I part with money for a basher.
  10. Thx everyone, ive ordered one of the tamiya tools as i tried to use a flat screwdriver & now have a sore hole in my hand 😂
  11. I did have a few of these in the garage years ago & i binned them as i didnt know what it was.
  12. I put the wrong part whilst building my blockhead wildone. My question is how on earth do you remove a c clip thing once they are on!
