Quarryman 0 Posted October 30, 2014 Hi all! Fast question 50 EUR for a Grasshoppar from 1980, is that a decent price? it's in rough condition.
GregM 1109 Posted October 30, 2014 Hi quarryman, please keep in mind that the Grasshopper is not a rare model and it has been re-released once in regular box art as well as in the Candy Green edition. Have a look what the re-released new ones cost in your area, depending on if you want to run the car or restore a vintage one.
Quarryman 0 Posted October 30, 2014 This one is from 80', and thinking of resto. But on the other hand, how different is a re-re, i think I can bye a re-re for 125 EUR in my local shop
dutch_rc 71 Posted October 30, 2014 Original is still original (even though there's minor differences) but 50 bucks for one in rough condition is a bit on the high side, I think. Last (rough) one I bought myself was 12 euro on eBay. First release was in '84 by the way.
Leonardas 3 Posted October 30, 2014 I bought a hornet this summer, it didn't even cost me 10 euros. In my opinion, 50 is a bit too much, if it's in rough condition,
GregM 1109 Posted October 30, 2014 Tamico has re-re Grasshopper in stock at 90 €. One or two years ago the price tag was at 80 € if I remember correctly.
Flat_Out 57 Posted October 31, 2014 If you restore a vintage use grasshopper, you will probably end up replacing a good portion of it with re-re parts. In the end it's probably best to just buy a re-re.
taliesin 260 Posted November 1, 2014 Too much $$$ in my opinion. I would keep looking, but that's just me.
