topforcein 1764 Posted February 7, 2016 I've go to the gearbox assembly and on page 13 of the manual number 20 it says to assemble the shift. Know I put it all together as in item 20 then installe it into the rear transmission case but when I try and attach the front gear case they won't close together snuggley so I took everything back out the rear case and tryed closing both case's together and there is no gap on the join of the 2 case's so it looks like I have narrow'd it to the shift releaser. It looks like its either to long or the locator pins in the case are to long . Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it .
Nitomor 2122 Posted February 13, 2016 Did you just line the dogs up so you could shift it along?
Nitomor 2122 Posted February 14, 2016 Keep us guessing lol! What did you think of it? I really enjoyed the gearbox and was really impressed with the engineering and the thought behind it. Quite a weighty piece too isn't it? Enjoy the rest of the build!
topforcein 1764 Posted February 14, 2016 Well I had to swop the tamiya CR tuned motor from my grand hauler today as I got a tr tuned motor for it and installed the CR into the bruiser. And tbh in comparison to the grand hauler gearbox its way better.I also installed the slipper clutch so will wait to see how that turns out. And the weight comparison between the both gear boxes is probably 3 to 1. Got it installed in the chassis and started on the servo's. Added the kimbro high torque saver to the steering servo will continue next weekend . I will be posting more pics on my Google+ posts later
