  1. Hi, A Hobbywing Quickrun 1060 would do great as a ESC, is cheap, waterproof and does 60A. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-quicrun-1060-brushed-esc/rc-car-products/382831 Maybe someone else can help you with a waterproof steering servo, i don't have any experience with those. Greetz, Mugjuh
  2. Here is a picture of the runner I'm the second owner, got it for 40 euros incl. shipping, nice deal i think. But spend about 100 euro's in new parts already, the small hairline cracks you'll notice when you put on a hopup and replace the worn out parts. It will be running with an Hobbywing Quickrun 1060 ESC and a HPI Firebolt 15T. I expect the last parts to get it running today and it is running. Added some pictures of the innards.
  3. OK, thx for the explanation. I'll have to wait until the correct spur gear comes in at the of the week.
  4. I just found out the spurgear is a bust, so i need to order a new one or run with the speed tuned that will hopefully be in tomorrow. What would be the real downside of the low gear ratio with the speed tuned?
  5. Got the alu motor mount already, so that's covered. Need to make the modification for the gearbox topcover, need to check for parts for that in my partsbox
  6. Hi, So i got myself a DF-01 Blazing Star 2 week ago. Replaced the bearings, driveshaft, plastic gears, king pins, Aluminum Servo Stays. Been running it with a 27T Dirt Tuned motor, think it should be faster, and broke the front shock tower. So i ordered the A parts bag to replace the front shock tower. Glad i ordered the A parts bag, because on closer inspection i noticed one of the screw holes of the front gearbox where the shock tower goes has a crack. Also ordered the Speed Tuned Gr Set (53127) and some pinions. Now i want to run this setup with a 15T HPI Firebolt motor. Anything that a need to look for when running this setup?
  7. I have a HB2010 Red Edition over 1,5 half years now and put in a lot of Hopups from Tamiya and 3Racing(The Blue Thingies). Today i put in a 15T HPI Firebolt motor just to test it before i can fit it to my broken Blazing Star (parts on route). **** the HB flies almost beyond control, so i will take it out and go back to the 27T Dirt tuned. 27T Dirt Tuned doesn't run that great at the moment i think i need to replace the coils, so now i'm running with a LRP 17T Ralley motor. Put in the Hobbywing Quickrun 1060 ESC, drives really smooth and fast Here are some pics of the complete car and innards.
  8. I have 2 of these baby's since today, should have done this much sooner. Smooth driving everywhere. Nice and small, will fit any 1/10 rc car imho.
