ChrisRx718 4470 Posted September 1, 2015 Nightmare. I thought I had it nailed - TS8 Italian Red with PS2 Red. Wrong. The former is applied to the wing only but is much more bold in colour. I even tried to match the backing by painting the wing silver first followed by red - the opposite to the silver backing colour used on the bodyshell. Aaargh. Now I think I'm just going to try painting over my work on the wing with some of the leftover PS2 - thoughts? It's quite an expensive bodyshell which will be primarily for display. Otherwise I'd just put my hands up and get on with it, admit defeat! How do other members approach this? The TS colours are there for the hard plastic parts - wings, mirrors etc. Is it 'safer' just to paint the hard plastic stuff in the same paint and use some clear lacquer liberally? As PS colours have a matte finish applied on hard plastics generally. Just a bit of a rant. Pooh-poohed about how it's come out
InsaneJim69 1584 Posted September 1, 2015 If sprayed carefully PS paints can give a nice gloss finish. I really dislike the TS paints for R/C use. I always use PS paints for R/C plastics and wheels etc, gives a harder more durable finish Imo. James
Shodog 1835 Posted September 1, 2015 You can use a PS paint and top it with a TS clear
