Just saying hello!

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I have been a lurker for a while so I thought I should be polite and say hello before asking stupid questions (as I know I will be in a while…). I seem to go in and out of liking RC cars, and currently I am in ‘liking’ mode.

As a bit of history, my first car many years ago was a Tamiya Wild One which was OK, then I got a Thundershot which was pretty cool. Few years later I had an RC10, Hot Shot, Hornet, Mantaray, Hornet clones, Mardave Meteor’s and probably a few others.

Now I have got a Hyper 7 and a Savage and they are nothing short of amazing! I also have an SCX10, a handful of Thundershot chassis, a Boomerang, a Rockslide RS10 XT, some Tamiya Subaru thingy and an unknown 2wd something or other.

I also have a full size Land Rover, so I suppose the whole offroad thing seems to appeal to me somewhat.

Anyway, hi again. I will be asking a stupid question shortly.

Welcome to the Club,

As a landrover owner I know how expensive they can get.

Tamiya kits are a lot cheaper than 1.1

BUT

tamiyas breed, before you know it you will have a room full :)

I know, I have another 2 coming over the next couple of days! The only solice I have is that I will probably get rid of some on 6 months time and start all over again.

OK, I have decided to channel all my efforts into rock crawling so I have decided to sell off a lot of RC bits and pieces. Keeping the SCX10 though. Might be tempted to sell my Savage and my Hyper 7 PBS but these have not been listed (yet).

Anyway, link to my stuff is here if anyone is interested.

I will post a link in the for sale section too (if I am allowed of course!)
