  1. You don’t have to buy the B parts twice to get all four body posts…
  2. Looks good @skom25! Now that you know how to solder, maybe it’s time to ditch the Tamiya battery connectors?
  3. For me it makes more sense to rebuild it and enjoy it than just let it sit in a box. The list of damaged parts isn’t so bad. The chassis, diff cover and arms are cheap. The U shaft can be upgraded to the hop up part. Carbon shock tower still looks intact. I’ve had way worse damage. Live and learn.
  4. Arrived from China today. SkyRC BD350 discharger and D200neo charger. The D200neo will save some space on my pit bag while the BD350 really cuts down on the time it takes to bring down lipo voltage to storage levels
  5. Yeah I made the same mistake on my 1/8 nitro buggy. Switched off my transmitter, so throttle servo applied full brakes. I placed the buggy on the pit table and chatted with the guys at the track. When I went back, throttle servo was dead. RIP Savox HV digital high speed, high torque servo
  6. Do you have a link to his channel? Maybe it’s the same Japanese guy that I see there all the time, Taka-san, he’s a really nice guy and really quick too! I’m so lucky to live less than 10 minutes away from this track. It’s clean, free to use and inside the mall so it’s air conditioned and lots of food/coffee shops nearby EDIT - I searched YouTube and found his channel. It is indeed Taka-san! One of the fastest racers here https://m.youtube.com/@mightynokkey/videos
  7. Went to the track today for the first time this year. It’s been a while since I did anything RC related. Been busy with sim racing in VR and family duties
  8. Glad you’re enjoying the build. That’s the good thing about the TT-02. Easy to build, lots of cheap spare parts available, lots of hopups as well, from cheap Chinese parts to the expensive Tamiya stuff.
  9. SRX can only race in the GT-Spec/Novice class along with the other souped-up versions of the TT-02 like the R, RR, Type S, SR. It’s no different than joining in the GT-1 class with a TRF421 along with others running tub chassis cars like the TA05 or TA06.
  10. Okay, so you think it’s correct to generalize based on what one person said? LOL. You’re alienating everybody who has an SRX based on ONE PERSON. Think about that for a second.
  11. @alvinlwh you make it sound like anybody who has an SRX is an unskilled loser who needs every advantage he can get. I think that’s unfair and not good for the hobby. Some people can afford nicer or more expensive things, why judge them and put them down? You don’t race anyway so any advantage the SRX might give to someone who races, doesn’t affect you at all.
  12. You’re right, I mixed them up. That’s interesting about the added bulk on the chassis. I’ll go check my spare chassis, I bought around 3 or 4 of the CF reinforced lower decks last year
  13. @skom25 the chassis that came with your kit was manufactured July 2016 while your spare chassis was manufactured on July 2023. The older chassis is probably already degrading and becoming brittle. The stock TT-02 tub is so soft that you really don’t need to use a tap even if using machine screws. Just some grease on the screws will do.
  14. I don’t know where you got that info but standard size servos do fit and the manual even shows you how to fit them (using spacers depending on the servo). I have a standard size servo on mine (Futaba S9451)
  15. I agree, on a twisty country road a sporty car is so much better, but for a daily driver I prefer to drive my utes now. It’s just so much easier to get in and out of compared to a low car, and easier to drive and park, I don’t have to worry about scuffing up the bumper on ramps and driveways. I do have a 2013 Toyota 86 that I’ve had since new, installed a supercharger on it myself, brought to numerous track days and drift events, such a fun car and with the UEL header, the boxer rumble sounds awesome
