  1. Thanks berman that's great. Will the unit work with my old radio gear? Sorry but I haven't been near r/c since the mid 80's so not up to speed! Chris.
  2. Hi all! I'd like some advice please...... I'm in the later stages of rebuilding a vintage Boomerang using so re re parts. So far it's going ok but I'd like to ditch the msc for an esc and don't know which one to go for. The motor I have is an Ansmann 2x 19T launcher? So I'm thinking I may need something more than a basic esc. Any help is appreciated! Chris.
  3. Hi all! I've got a bit of a problem with my vintage Boomerang and was hoping somebody can help....... So far I have replaced the original gearbox shells with re re shells because the originals were starting to crack. I have put the vintage gears into the re re shells and ball raced as much as I can. I have also got some E clips to replace the old C clips for the gearbox joint cups. I have been advised to fit DF-02 CVDs which I have ordered from GPM Racing. I ordered the 64mm shafts part no. SDF2264C,(is this correct or should I have ordered 68mm?). These items have arrived but they do not seem to be correct because the actual shafts are thicker than my vintage shafts. (I was lead to believe that the newer shafts are thinner in design). Also whilst I was on the GPM website I ordered some joint cups for the gearboxes Tamiya part no. 53218. These cups are too small for the CVDs to fit into, again I think I have ordered incorrectly as the packet says Touring Car Joint Cup Set. Can anybody advise please? Best regards, Chris.
  4. Ah I see. Well as far as I am aware my Boomerang is vintage. Only changed the gearbox shells as the vintage ones were cracked and I could only find re re shells. So I'm pretty sure I have all vintage apart from the shells. chris.
  5. I have re re gearbox shells with vintage gears. I understood that if I use the re re e clips for the cup joints it would be ok to use re re or vintage cup joints?
  6. As title says. Only need one really but happy to buy a pair/set. Must be good condition. Cheers
  7. Hi the E clips have arrived and they fit on the gearbox shafts ok. I need to rebuild both gearboxes now. Lots more parts to buy still! Thanks for your help so far Max I'm sure that I'll need more advice soon! Chris.
  8. Ok have ordered some e clips from ebay. Many thanks Max. Chris.
  9. Great thanks Max! Next question is where do I get the re re e clips from? If I knew the size of the clips I could find some Chris.
  10. Hi I've recently purchased a vintage Bommerang and I'm currently rebuilding it. I've purchased re re gearbox shells and put the vintage gears, ball races and joints etc into the new shells. The gearboxes are now not working correctly and keep locking up. Reading the above posts am I right in thinking that I need the re re e clips to make them work? Thanks in advance
