Have been absent for quite a while. Totally gutted just saw this - unbelievable to realise Jim has left the building . Many fond conversations with him over the years both of us mad bikers we would often talk motorbikes. Everybody has a favourite from Jim’s collection - for me it was the Rothmans Rough Rider. Just WoW sad really sad news ! Vale big fella !

Do you think that Tamiya will RE RE the F201?
Swarm replied to nickf's topic in Re-Release Discussions
I too love my F201 it was the first kit I built after getting back into the hobby - always wanted a Formula 1 ever since I saw them in the 1980’s Tamiya Catalogue. Noticed the kits that are for sale are selling for mega bucks now ! Think I picked mine up back in the day for under AUS $100- -
What vintage R/C car or part were you most happy to find?

Help and Advice - Vintage Tamiya Collection
Swarm replied to Payneyboy's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Your old man rue had a keen eye for great and classic cars ! Some nice old school cars there as “H” said every collector here would be interested in at least one of those models , just shows you what a nice slice of history you have there . They would look great rebuilt and on display in honour of you late father and you would get that warm fuzzy feeling every time you walked past them , time what is time we all have our own version of time and how much we have - 30 minutes to 1 hour spent on these over time and you would have a great collection to display . We can all find time for things we truly believe in and enjoy . If it were me and those were my late fathers , it’s not rocket science to see he loved his hobby - I would keep them display them guaranteed one day you would regret selling them . Thanks for sharing ! -
Is there still a demand for vintage Tamiya RC?
Swarm replied to john1314's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Half the people here collect vintage cars / kits - maybe more than half . Both are collectable cars - even with the re release boom cars of this vintage are still quite sought after. Nothing like an original . Either sell them as they are as an ongoing project or clean them up a bit , if you do put the $$ back into them you want to make sure you re-coupe them when sold . Good luck ! -
Bump. Price adjusted.

Yes it my Shed / Garage it’s 10 metres long X 6 metres wide. No home brew setup as I don’t drink , it has a fireplace for those chilly days we get here every now and then - decked out with a sound system and a tv of course. The tools are on mobile islands depending on the job at hand. I installed the fluro lighting / strip lighting and power points myself - nothing worse than poor lighting , must have many good lights and power sockets throughout. As mentioned earlier by a member it’s not uncommon in Australia for almost every household that has the space to have a decent sized shed or man cave - you have lofts in the UK and Europe the US has basements and garages , I guess we have big sheds / garages down under . 😃

Great idea ! TC is an international club - an international doco would be fitting. Filled the form out - in Australia .

Wanted - Sonic Fighter / Striker chassis for restoration
Swarm replied to Jason1145's topic in Sales, trades & wanted
I’ve got a whole sonic fighter kit for sale - but a bit pricey to post to the UK That one in the link looks cracked makes me wonder if it’s brittle .
