  1. marui galaxy chassis wanted, dosnt have to be new and unused so long as not damaged as mine has got a few cracks in it, thanks Dave
  2. just finished getting my galaxy rs ready for running again, using a tamiya esc although the original mech speedo works fine, just got a few cracks in the chassis though, anyone got one a good chassis for sale?
  3. just picked up a galaxy rs to use as a runner and cant for the life of me remember how to refill the shocks, any help? thanks Dave
  4. bit of a blow about customs , on a different note has anyone else fitted the oil filled shocks as yet. They bring the front arms up lowering the height of the chassis at the front, makes the bodyshell sit better at the front (closer to the wheels) but seems to limit travel somewhat but sure neatens up the front end a lot
  5. went to post up some pictures the other night, keep getting told the upload has failed due to the size of the file so I gave up
  6. just finished mine. When its in front of you it looks a lot nicer than in the pictures weve seen, you can forgive it everything, it really is great, running totally stock at the moment apart from adding bearings
  7. Ive sanded them down and used tetrosyl plastic primer and sprayed them up no prob in the past, yes its quite a flexible plastic so it could crack/flake off but no more so than if you roll a painted hard shell
  8. yep, grease up the rubber tube on the friction shocks
  9. in the flesh its better than expected, a bit gawky form some angles but on the whole not to bad. Only built mine with bearings as yet and it runs surprisingly well with the 380 motor and friction shocks, far better than i remember a 380 going many moons ago. Just applying the decals as i type (forgot how tricky the light blue on the wheel arches can be) and will go buy the paint to finish tommorow. The box is small, but so cool with the old style art and the instruction booklet seems bigger than normal to me (in dimensions)
  10. mine arrived this morning form Jason's store, excellent service as always, chuffed to bits with it, now i really remember why i came back to this hobby of ours, Tamiya have done it again as i havent looked forward as much to a parcel arriving for a number of years
  11. nice write up and video, fantastic little car, sell loads i reckon
  12. just ordered mine, cant wait for it to arrive, like being 12 again He now has 2
  13. all our talk here is of how wrong this is or that is, over on other forums talk is of what brushless system to fit in it! so it starts to make sense as to why the dt02 as the majority of these new Holiday Buggies are going to work for living, which is what its all about as although many of us now just collect do you remember why as a child you got into rc?, me i ran my car to death with friends and this little bug seems a great 1st car cheap and with a bit of characater. It seems to be about a 50/50 split elsewhere in the love it or loathe it stakes as well
  14. loved it back then and loving this one just as much, this for me is the most exciting modern Tamiya release in ages as its not really a re-re is it, this is tamiya seeing just how much nostalgia sells regardless of what they do to it
