  1. Hi Gents Please forgive me if this topic has been done to death but after 3 years I am still a nOOb and am still a bit confused. OK, I have renewed interest in getting my 2010 Sand Scorcher kit built. I'm wondering what RC Channel parts I should order to improve the performance my SS? I don't want to go out willy nilly and order every part from them that is marked as suitable for the SS. I'd rather only order the recommended parts. I'm still confused about their SS suspension, they sell two different types. Which one is recommended, if recommended at all? Lastly, are there any TC Sand Scorcher fans in the Sydney/ Central Coast area. Thanks for your patience, Cheers, Mike
  2. Like this Joe Bloggs 24 Easy Street, Woop Woop NSW 2654 AUSTRALIA It'll be sure to get there.
  3. Thanks BMT, I probably have all the Tamiya I could ever want, bought from Stella. I would never buy anything Tamiya (except paint) from a shop in Australia as the prices and service are generally p_ss w_eak. No I was just curious as to what had happened to them. Cheers, Steve
  4. Hammer the bloke with every legal means at your disposal. This has gone on far too long.
  5. These illegal's get the best of everything, they don't call the little dot in the Indian ocean where these scumbags land, Christmas Island for nothing.
  6. I 'd like a Sand Rover so as long as it is close to the original and you blokes give it the thumbs up, then that'll do me. I'm such a novice that I didn't even know that the 2010 Sand Scorcher shell wasn't identical to the original. Not that I was worried.
  7. Thanks, I thought they were a bit dear. They are still listed as the source for Tamiya spares on the Toy Traders website.
  8. I know that it has been gone for awhile, but does anyone know the story behind its demise. Cheers, Steve
  9. In the words of the late Ricky Nelson. You see, ya can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself
  10. Sorry Neo Tamiya but this tank post dates WW2 by a long way.
  11. I have two Sand Scorcher kits and both will probably never get built, but I'll probably get a couple of those Sand Rover thingies to gather dust, if they ever get re-re'd. \
  12. Gents, I have two unbuilt Sand Scorcher kits (2010) but I have never seen a completed one in the flesh please. Would there be anyone in the Sydney area who would be willing to show me theirs ( don't want to have a go driving just look)? Unfortunately, I missed the vintage meeting at Castle Hill last month. Cheers, Steve
  13. It is perfectly reasonable to inquire about the fate of the Tamiya factory. This is a Tamiya forum after all.
